For cheap eats in Barcelona you won't be disappointed

This place has been here for decades. It's always been where you go when you're running short of cash at the end of the month. It's had a facelift since the old days. I've been coming here since the '90s and its basic nature hasn't changed: good solid food at incredibly cheap prices. The hygiene is... read more

It is near las ramblas and very cheap, despites all the other restaurants there. The sir that work there is very kind and sweet !if we ever come to Barcelona definitely we will eat... More

Where can you eat so well for so little money? The secret is the authenticity, the fresh food from the Bocqueria around the corner and the lack of pretensions. The decor is simple, the food is great. It's the place where the Barcelonese go at the end of the month, when they're waiting for a new pay check. On thursday,... More

I can't really say anything was "wrong" with this restaurant. It was just real simple food. The fish and and the pork chops came with identical sauces, the veggies didn't seem that fresh, and the atmosphere was more of a diner. OK if you are on a strict budget, but otherwise not worth a trip. I definitely wouldn't go out... More

Restaurant is close to the Ramblas. Excellent, simple food, very well done. Service was " right on" - not intrusive. We had melon and ham, asparagus with salad, tortilla and salmon a la plancha. Fresh sheet everyday, cannot wait to take our son back. Reasonable, not precious, just a room of happy talk and a wait out the door, but... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
