great atmosphere - but you need to stand and eat no seating and its quite crowded - great quality on the food / tapas - its more non-touristic tapas - lots of fish versions - some might not like it since its not the standard Ramblas stuff.....

Why does the website NOT say it is CLOSED the entire month of August??? Very very disappointed we made such a long journey by foot - after all the recommendations - only to find it is shut for the August holidays. Family nearly lynched me. Don't come here in August - obviously. It seems I am the first to let... More

All the food is made right in front of you - their fresh items - shrimp, salmon etc are delicious, and other items cheeses, tinned fish etc are high quality. The owner made a great wine reccommendation and with standing room only and intimate quarters Quimet&Quimet had a great young relaxed vibe but could cater to other preferences. Very cool... More

This small tapas bar has been on our list for many years and we finally made it happen. We arrived just before 2pm and managed a spot at the bar. It was busy but not stuffed. We sampled a variety of montaditos and were very pleased! The menu has something for everyone and there are many wines by the glass...... More

It is sooo good that it worth the line! Elaborated tapas with prime ingredients. Definitely not an ordinary tapas place.

Unforgettable place with amazing food. You won't mind the small space once you got a bite of their tapas. Easily one of my favourites.

Wow, these guys are it. Along with Tapeo, the best tapas we had in Barcelona. Clearly, this is a local favorite as well. They do it all. Inexpensive, but authentic. It's loud, so don't count on a romantic evening, but this is the place to go before going out to party. The portions were generous for tapas and the variety... More

First, be prepared for a tiny space, no seats (standing only) and lots of people. We almost left because it seemed so crowded, but then someone waved us over and we joined her at the end of the bar. And I'm so glad we did! The food was great, and we had a front-row seat to watching it being prepared... More

It was unfortunate that last Monday August 3rd I checked for if the restaurant is open and it appeared open both in google and Tripadvisor. Then I decided to go with friends and it was a long way there. After spending time getting there it was closed. The product quality is important, but keeping your clients informed is sometimes even... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
