I have a thing for hole-in-the-wall restaurants when I'm travelling because that's usually where I end up finding the most authentic local food. Quimet & Quimet was no different. We got to Q&Q around 1:30pm in the afternoon and it was the perfect time to get there. It wasn't as crowded and we didn't have to wait at all. It... More

... A pity I can't be there every day. I went on recommendation of the concierge. The restaurant is owner operated and Quimet makes the tapas himself. I didn't look at the menu but instead asked him to. Ake me 3 tapas and a glass of white. 5 min later I was enjoying a dance on my tongue! Will certainly... More

Quimet & Quimet is tiny, crowded, loud, and absolutely perfect. My party and I visited this family run Barcelona institution two of our last three nights in Barcelona. Do not be intimidated by the loud and cramped nature of the place. Walk in, grab a menu, and place an order. Every last things we tried on the menu was delicious.... More

Got this place recommended from a local Spanish lady that brings her family here for tapas. The place is smaller then I expected but the tapas are really worth it. You have to push your way to the front and order what you want. The staff is amazing in keeping control on what you have ordered and the tapas are... More

Best food of our trip! Amazing! Get there right at 7 so as to not wait as long. Be prepared to scream your order, don't be intimated! You won't be disappointed! Try the salmon with honey and drunken apricot for dessert!

Being long-term foreign residents of BCN (10+years), we head out to Q+Q every couple months or so, and always wonder why we don't go more often. Oh sure, it could be due to their funny tapas-hours (closing at 10pm and on weekends), or the fact that you literally have to jostle with a tsunami of dazed tourists (mostly asian at... More

I did some research on where i should go. And was more then happy to find out that I was staying next to this place. Food was absolutely perfect, I gorged a pretty big pile Tapas, few glasses of vino and a beer and it still didnt even cost that much. If you want to avoid the place being full... More

Amazing! I went to a few Michelin starred establishments in BCN during my stay but this was by far my fav! Small family run, charming tapa restaurant. We were here at around 2pm and thankfully we took the last 2 spots at the counter. We ordered the foie gras pate, the shrimp with uni, the anchovies. The smoked salmon.... All... More

Great food, English menu, good service for Barcelona. Do not expect to be doted on like American restaurant service.

As long as you don't mind standing in a crowded but atmospheric hole in the wall, this is is an opportunity to taste great food.
