Lovely food but service was poor

Upon arrival, part of our party were asked to wait outside in the rain despite there being a sheltered area available. Furthermore, we were not approached at any point during the meal by waiting staff - each time we wanted to order or ask for anything we had to try and catch their attention. The... read more

I go to this restaurant at least once each time I visit Barcelona. For me it ticks all the boxes - nice venue, good location, attentive staff, good food and value for money. I've dined at a few restaurants in this square (Placa Reial) but his is the cheapest and tastiest. We recently went as a group of 12 and... More

A tip from a friend of me led us to this restaurant. Of all the restaurants at the square this is the one who has a waiting line. But we were seated within 5 minutes. The tables on the terrace have a nice blanket and terrace heater in case it gets colder. When it's a bit colder, you have more... More

Les Quinze Nits doesn't take reservations--it doesn't need to. It's open 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 7 days a week, and it's always busy. We went on a Sunday for lunch, and later in the week for lunch. On both days there was a 'Menu del Dia'--daily specials--although on Sunday the choices, and therefore the price, were more elaborate. Excellent... More

We got to the restaurant late, nearly 11pm after visiting elsewhere in the city and wanted somewhere to eat something good but not too much. So we lloked around the square and have already tried two other places for lunches we selected this one and chose to eat inside upstairs. We may have been amongst the last to take a... More

The food was generally very tasty - though be aware, the patatas bravas are not veggie, as they have chorizo in them, and the menu does not make this clear. The service was terrible, though - our waitress was surly and rude, reached across the table to hand plates to us instead of putting them on the table, kept forgetting... More

This is one of the busiest and most popular tourist areas in Barcelona and this restaurant is extremely popular. if you time your visit to Placa Reial well you can be shown straight to a table; at other times there can be very long queues. Once you get there though......the waiting staff are very efficient and attentive. We had a... More

Almost no wait for inside dining at this popular restaurant off Placa Reial. Pretty and congenial with a quiet hum, the ambience is elegant yet casual. The harried waitress arrived after a not unpleasant wait. What amazed us were the very reasonable prices for what seemed like high-end menu items. Although the beef in the beef carpaccio was not as... More
