We ate at La Fonda tonight and can't think of anything positive to say. From the 'don't care' attitude of the staff, to the average at best quality of the tasting plate, black rice, and sangria. There is really nothing positive I can say about our dining experience tonight. At least it wasn't too expensive...

The food was good but the service needs some improvement. We ordered the fish paella, and there was too much Rice. Overall it was a positive experience.

I liked the decor and the food was very good (try the rices, they are a must, in particular the black one with squids). Sangria was also nice. However, I had to queue to get in, which I hate, but I was starving. Also, the staff are overworked and don't get much Spanish (i.e., "pan" is quite a common word,... More

Went here as part of a 12 person group. Service was good and the food was excellent. Lively atmosphere, mood lighting and busy.I had Paella which was superb, and everyone else in the party enjoyed their meals too. We all had the 3 course meal for €19.99 option which was great value. Recommended

We've been there 15 people in March. We've booked in advance but it did not help. The waiter was terrible! We could not get initially menu, then food, then bill. Service was so terrible that we did not enjoy as we could! I would not recommend for a group at all.

I am surprised regarding some of the negative comments as this was not our experience at all. Visited Sunday 23rd March after searching to find this restaurant again about 8 years after our last visit. We were lucky to get a table for 4 without waiting at about 2pm as most of the time people were queuing outside. Pleased to... More

I doubt that this is a real spanish restaurant. The sangria was some wine diluted with water and some pieces of apple and orange. the paella was precooked and overcooked...very bad. The catalan cream was just custard.

Do not expect lovely staffs with professional dining service. Staffs even don't care guests are happy or not. No greeting, no hospitality, no standard. Waitress can answer my question even if I did not ask her. They are too busy to answer my stupid questions. However, food are good value. Recommend to anyone who just looking for nice food and... Was slightly put off originally by the queue to get in but this quickly went down. Service is not brisk or rushed though, but atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the food of a good standard. A good varied menu, which should suit varied tastes.
