Good food, reasonable prices

The place was buzzing but it took only 5 minutes for us to be seated even though it was clearly a busy time of the evening. Packed with tourists, not much locals here, wonder if that's indication of anything... Sangria was nice

This was my second time at La Fonda. Food was delicious both visits, beautiful paella and tapas. The staff were ok but didn't seem too happy to be there. It was difficult to get them to crack a smile and they could have been friendlier.

As soon as we walked in we were directed to a free table and got our order in. This seemed quite exceptional compared to how slow the service had been in other places we visited. The waiters spoke English so we didn't have any problems with that either. We were told they have the best paella in Barcelona and it... More

My wife and I have eaten dinner at La Fonda the past 2 nights and are very impressed by the food, service and overall ambiance of this restaurant. Last night we shared a roasted lamb shoulder served with rosemary potatoes and a salad. It was delicious and ended up having to take leftovers back to our apartment. We each has... More

We were delighted to find this lovely restaurant off La Ramblas. We were taken to a lovely table upstairs and chose a complete diner, which started with fruit-filled Sangria, then a delicious goat cheese salad, bread, Seafood Paella and to finish it off, a great desert. I chose Crema Catalayna which is like a really creamy, crusty Creme Brulet, and my... More

It is while wandering in the little streets of The Barrio Gotico, close to Las Ramblas (way less crowded) that my friend and I found this restaurant at the corner of two alleys. The waiters took us to the first floor, where we were pleased to find a really nice and cozy atmosphere. The service was very fast, and the... More

busier, wait staff not as attentive. this is a louder, full of tourists experience where the food does not have to be the star. seafood paella short on seafood, tasty, but for the price could have been more protein for sure, and I am still waiting for someone to properly clean a prawn before serving it to me. Again, the... More

Located just off La Rambla, we stumbled on this fabulous place. It was hopping with people, so we figured it must be good and popular. We were right. The lamb roast was tender and juicy and the paella, from what I saw on other's tables looked amazing.

Great food and DELICIOUS wine. We had a great night. The food and wine were very well priced. We celebrated my daughters birthday that night, the service was good. The whole restaurant broke out in song with us!!
