The service was very good. We went there several times, some days even twice a day. The meal offers they had were unbeatable, at just some feet distance from the expensive La Rambla. Tasty food, from fish to soup and the traditional paella. Portions were always balanced and not small. Pretty good and cheap desserts. La crema catalana was amazing!... More

Or is it: Cheap but bland? It has the atmosphere of a cafeteria and to be fair also the prices of a cafeteria... The sad thing is the food is also something from a cafeteria. I would never go again.

We came to this restaurant as a recommendation from a friend. He told us that the restaurant is great and he was right. The place is realy close to La Rambla stree where the food is very expensive. But here, the food was realy good and tasty at great prices. And the sangria was amazing. I usually don't drink, but... More

With friends we came to try their Paella and I have to say that for this low price, it was very very good. Staff was quite busy but overall i can recommend this place.

La Fonda is on a side street of Les Rambles in the Gothic area of Barcelona. It is a pleasant restaurant and pleasantly good value for money. The restaurant was quite busy but we didn’t have to book or wait. The menu could be described as Mediterranean. For starter we had mixed starter (fried squid rings, ham and cheese quiche... More

I'll keep it brief. Great ambience, good service, excellent food. In a lovely area, close to shops, Rambla etc. It does get busy and you can't reserve a table.

We had the "plat du jour". Pork ribs and red wine. Not the best plate I've ever had in Barcelona, but it was fine. The wine (in a jar) was very good.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel reception as a medium priced place serving good food. We arrived at around 18:30 to ensure we got a table. From that point on service was poor, in fact it took 2 waiters to open and pour a bottle of cava. The food was mediocre, but the price was reasonable. Shortly... More
