Great Tapas on La Rambla

We walked onto the terrace with a party of seven, asked if it was okay to have a couple of drinks. Waiter said it was ok, but we could only sit at one table. No problem for us, but when we grabbed some chairs he got all red and stressed and screamed "ONLY ONE TABLE". We were only getting some... More

The place it's alike to be back in the time, I used to go there for many years. atmosphere it's made by old print and old barrels and wood tables. I had pulpo Gallegos and Seasoned Cheese and beer. It's nice however I feel it's too expensive, you can have a meal at restaurants with same money not just finger... More

I loved the food, the service. The tapas are really good. They have the best pan con tomate. You can eat inside or choose la terraza and enjoy the view at rambla de catalunya.

One of my 2 favorite places in the eixample neighborhood along with cerveceria Catalana. Love the old fashioned look with the large wine barrels on the wall behind the counter. Service was excellent and had some great tapas - the cockles in wine sauce with garlic was memorable. Excellent octopus a la Galicia too.

There are scores of places to eat along this road but this one was permanently full which is usually a good sign. We had lunch here twice and each time had to wait five or ten minutes for a table. Well worth the wait though. A great place to sample local food and wine. Highly recommended

I had a lovely meal at La Bodegueta last week. Located perfectly close to the top end of Rambla de Catalunya (closer to the Avinguda Diagonal end), it has a terrace where you can dine al fresco. Tasty tapas, great staff ad good wine. Wonderful meal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Old tapas bar in a corner on the Rambla de Catalunya. Try the jamón 'ibérico de bellota'. Unique taste. It's basically a prosciutto but the pig was fed acorns. Delicious. The pan con tomate here is the best. The staff is super friendly, although we speak the language. Maybe that make s a difference. All the tapas are made fresh... More

This deservedly popular neighbourhood tapas place looks like it's been around for a long time. It's a smallish place in the basement of a building at the corner of Rambla de Catalunya and Provenca, and offers the best tapas we've been able to find so far. We had their jambon iberica, sauteed shrimp, chorizo iberica, and pimentios al padrone (fried... More

Great old school taps bar, very friendly nice bocadilla and beer. Well worth stopping off for a quick break whilst exploring Barça.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
