Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Fun place.

Old tapas bar in a corner on the Rambla de Catalunya. Try the jamón 'ibérico de bellota'. Unique taste. It's basically a prosciutto but the pig was fed acorns. Delicious. The pan con tomate here is the best. The staff is super friendly, although we speak the language. Maybe that make s a... read more

This deservedly popular neighbourhood tapas place looks like it's been around for a long time. It's a smallish place in the basement of a building at the corner of Rambla de Catalunya and Provenca, and offers the best tapas we've been able to find so far. We had their jambon iberica, sauteed shrimp, chorizo iberica, and pimentios al padrone (fried... More

Great old school taps bar, very friendly nice bocadilla and beer. Well worth stopping off for a quick break whilst exploring Barça.

Not show-off at all. You don't have to queue for hours to get a sit whereas the place is authentic, food very good but not fancy and drinks at top. Not pricy. Nice staff and the whole looks like a play, actors being all the waiters. Just got, sit and look around you. All tapas are minute-made, fresh products.

A friend from Barcellona recommended the place. I was there with my husband and a couple of friends. I loved the atmosphere and the tapas were exceptionally good!

The food it is in the average of a regular Casa de Tapas.Noise, unconfortable, bad choice of Wines and,the more important it is that they work hard to teat you as bagger. They have no patience at all with no Spanish. I do not recomend.

This place makes you want to speak spanish (or Catalan!) it is so packed with locals that has to be a good measure, the food is great the waiters are 100mph but very attentive, it just makes me want to move there permanently. You just have to visit to appreciate it, we have been several times now.

We were in Eixample, having just spent time at La Pedrera and before our scheduled visit at Sagrada Familia. Place was recommended by a number of guide books - Rick Steves, TimeOut and Forever Barcelona - and it was one block from La Pedrera. We are glad we went. The restaurant was full and mainly with locals. They obviously knew... More

At a glance, when i first saw this place i thought i 'll never come inside but it was suggested by friends. We were a liitle sceptical but finally decided to come in. This is an old fashioned spanish taverna with small tables and a bar, that remained intact thought the years! The menu list has many dishes, based on... More

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
