Good food

We went there for earlier lunch on Sunday. 7 ppl ordered 13 dishes and most of all are delicious. We have. Good time there enjoying the food and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly even though we don't speak Spanish. Worth to go.

We came at prime time, and needed to wait about half an hour. They gave us the first available table outside. The food and beverages flowed and each dish was tasty. Two families who had not eaten all day and the waitstaff could not be more accommodating. Thanks to the previous reviewers. Great local hangout.

This is the best Tapas we have had (so far) in Barcelona. We came here in the early afternoon and there was a nice, busy, vibrant feel to the place. The kitchen is open so you can see the food being prepared for you. The prices are really good too. In fact, it shows how other places you may visit... More

The best example of ,, the place to be". You should really have it on your check list when you are in BCN. Cheap and delicious tapas! The best tortilla española I have ever eaten!

I think this is one of a great places if you looking for tapas.I had tried their signature dish: anchovies and the bones. The taste was interesting. I'm not familiar with tapas or Spanish culinary so i cannot say if it's good or not. But the crowd was awesome. And the wine was so good.

The food really nice as always but the service is awful and really slow. Waiting to order, waiting for drinks for food for the bill and now waiting for them to come back and get the change

It is situated near the Barcelonetta beach among the local residential flats. One of the most memorable visit in Barcelona, not only because the restaurant is filled with local patrons, the food is equally good and authentic too.

We liked everything we ate there; they have some delicious types of tapas which you won't be able to find in any of the mainstream tapas restaurants. We went there upon advice of a local guide.

Following great reviews we went for tapas last night. The food was great, the wine was appalling and the service non-existing. The staff were busy tslking among themselves rather than serving their clients. While we were there several people walked out as they were not served. Dishes were not cleared.

To eat the real tapas and not something made only 4 tourists you have to come heré. Normally is overcrowded but it's OK, you have to talk with the waiters to sign in the waiting list for a table. You will all the spanish apetizers at a reazonable price as fresh fish, tortillas, meatballs a lot of vegetables cooked in different ways.... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
