After reading the reviews I expected something better. The staff were friendly enough, very authenticate local cuisine. Really need to speak Spanish to get the most out the tapas bar. The food was ok, but compared with other tapas places we have tried during our stay; this was not one of the best. Wouldn’t return.

When travelling with a 2yr-old finding a nice place to eat is difficult. You want local + tasty + affordable + nice vibe + (and most importantly) family friendly. This place has got all the above! Even though there's a big crowd and the waiters are obviously busy, they'll take time out to ensure that you're comfortable, find a nice... More

Recommended by the locals once again. Was not disappointed at all... atmosphere was buzzing, a very small Tapas place with inside and outside seating. Good place to go and soak up a traditional Spanish Tapas.

We came across this tapas bar as we were wandering in the area, and it was packed with local Spanish having their lunch. We ate here at lunch time and in the evening (we reserved a table, went away & had a drink then came back - you hang around outside til they call your name). On both occasions the... More

Great vermouth, good tapas, and cheap. It's usually packed but it's worth it! Old fashioned bar, but great!

Ate here last night. Go early as it gets packed! Great local eatery, basic decor but great food, house wines also good. We pigged out on grilled whole squid, deep fried green whole chiilies, grilled sardines, prawns & razor clams & tomato bread. Food all excellent plenty of non fried items to choose from also really good value. Must visit... More

Great food, all locals, buzzy and fun atmosphere. Great food (lots of seafood, big varied menu of tapas) and very inexpensive! Our bill for wine and loads of tapas was less than 40 euros! Go here!

A friend who lived in Barcelona recommended Jai-Ca and it didn't disappoint. It's easy to walk to from the beach or metro, and well worth stopping by. It was busy when we went but we managed to get a table inside. The tapas was delicious and the sangria was the best we had in a week in Barcelona. We were... More

Stumbled upon this Tapas bar in Barcelona recently. It was jam packed with a line up of salivating folks waiting at the door. Finally managed to locate some vacant stools at the bar. It did not disappoint. Really enjoyed watching the whirling bartender serve up a variety of scrumptious tapas and drinks. Great food, great selection, great atmosphere!
