Nice paella lil expensive

We went Elche following our house owner advice. The place is nice, lil chic but not too much. Fried artichokes were nice and the cub and mushrooms paella was tasty. Wine selection was also good, with some small bottles, good for us. Considering the price og paella in some other places (10-14 euros... read more

A small place and not close to the city centre, but the atmosphere was impeccable and the paellas really first rate. They offer also paella without seafood, for anybody allergic to this. The final espresso was as good as any I have tasted in Italy. The only downside was the racket from the local fiesta which was taking place outside... More

Went there for lunch with my husband. Everything was ok, but nothing special. I had the lamb which was good. My husband had the seabass and it was underseasoned but otherwise ok. We shared a small bottle of a nice rose wine. All in all it felt like they were trying to be a fancy restaurant, but didn't quite make... More

The restaurant itself is very well done and staff were very accommodating when we turned up without reservations. However, a quiet restaurant compared to others as it is in a residential area, 15 minutes away from Las Ramblas. All food was served quickly and the staff always available. The menu itself was full of seafood, with a whole section for... More

The restaurant is very nicely furnished and the ambiance is good with a nice, but quiet, buzz through the air. The woman who served us was very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I opted for the seafood paella which was very nicely cooked and contained a reasonable amount of seafood. Not the best seafood paella we have eaten, but... More

This restaurant offers several choices of paella, as well as other seafoods and meats, in an elegant and quiet setting. The service was outstanding, as was the wine list. The seafood was quite fresh and plentiful in our paella. Overall a fantastic experience off the beaten trail. Just a short walk (15 minutes) off Las Ramblas towards Paral-lel. Good setting... More

We walked in off the street and the place was very busy. They found us a window seat in no time at all. We went there for the paella and it was great.....waiters were very attentive and helpful, price was very acceptable and we feel lucky to have had our front desk clerk recommend it.....

Looking for a cheap paella and tastes amazing? look no further! you pay almost half the price for a portion of 2 compared to other restaurants and you still get the same amazing taste of paella! simply amazing! also dessert, creama catalana is so good! isn't so thick so you won't be so full after your main meal. The atmosphere... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
