Good Paella

We had the paella and it's definitely the best paella I have had in Barcelona! We also had some tapas for starters and they were so delicious!! I would say that the tapes were even better than the paella - and that's really good. The place is kinda expensive - 100 € for 2 starters, paella for 4... read more

You have to eat "Entrecot a LA pimienta Verde" if you like meat generally. Personal is great. They accepted us without reservation but seemed that they expected us to have reserved. Also very very nice brown!!!

I wouldn't normally write a review for restaurants, but the food and service was so bad that it's worth to write one. We came in for an early dinner and were 'greeted' by an angry waiter. We were the only guests at that time. We ordered the seafood paella and 2 glasses of wine. Before the food arrived, bread was... More

We went here for light tapas and paella. The tapas (scallops and cod fritters) were excellent and reasonably priced (though in the pricey end of the scale) The Paella, however, was only okay and pretty expensive. All in all an okay experience, but not a great one.

My friend and I really enjoyed our time at Elche. The wait staff were all polite and even bantered with us as we struggled to communicate in rough Spanglish. The food was incredible, the wines affordable, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was peaceful. This would be a great place to take a friend, a significant other, or even your... More

Mixed chicken and seafood paella was superb. Squid rings could have done with some seasoning. Good service and really nice attentive staff :-)

interior and set up was a lot more fancy than the other spots that I have been to but do not worry about dressing up whatsoever. the prices are reasonable not excessive at all. food was good and was able to get a vegan paella for myself. non-vegans enjoyed their seafood paella as well but the steak was more on... We went Elche following our house owner advice. The place is nice, lil chic but not too much. Fried artichokes were nice and the cub and mushrooms paella was tasty. Wine selection was also good, with some small bottles, good for us. Considering the price og paella in some other places (10-14 euros) the 18 euros per portion price is... More

A small place and not close to the city centre, but the atmosphere was impeccable and the paellas really first rate. They offer also paella without seafood, for anybody allergic to this. The final espresso was as good as any I have tasted in Italy. The only downside was the racket from the local fiesta which was taking place outside... More

Went there for lunch with my husband. Everything was ok, but nothing special. I had the lamb which was good. My husband had the seabass and it was underseasoned but otherwise ok. We shared a small bottle of a nice rose wine. All in all it felt like they were trying to be a fancy restaurant, but didn't quite make... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
