We had researched on TA the best paella restaurants. Couldn't get a table at some of them, but were pleased with what we read online about this one . The presentation of the food was beautiful, but I think the flavor could have been better. Nice service, lovely white tablecloth atmosphere, and the wines and overall prices were good. Maybe... The restaurant is the best for when you would like to try valencian paella in formal restaurant. All of the facilities are vary clean and the service is gentle and calm. Not also paella but fish from local sea and desert are so nice.

We were visiting Barcelona with friends for a few days. As we flew in late afternoon we decided to eat in our hotel, Hotel Emilia, on the first night and, whilst we were enjoying a splendid meal and making the comment that we were looking forward to some nice food, an elderly local couple said that we should try Elche... I brought my mom here when she came to visit Barcelona. I had paella several times in different places in Spain and this was probably my favorite. As a picky American I don't like to have heads and legs of creatures in my food and it was wonderful to have the option of having the seafood shelled for us. The... More

If it were not for the down-to-earth screen print T shirt designer's recommendation (at Nou132, Brualla Serigrafia up the street) we would have been intimidated by the white tablecloths and sophisticated vibe. But we were welcomed warmly even without a reservation and pleasantly surprised at the prices on the menu. Then everyone relaxed as we were treated to genuinly passionate... More

The restaurant is really stylish, the staff very nice and professional, the food great. And the price is ok. Everything (but the menue) is kind of minimalistic, so the chefs rely on excellent quality of the ingredients. And it works! I´d love to eat here more often!

Stumbled along Elche on the search to find somewhere to have some real paella in Barcelona. We turned up without a booking with no problems. The restaurant felt clean and friendly, the staff were attentive and made some excellent recommendations. Then the food. The food was absolutely stunning. We had a seafood tapas starter (with the best prawns I have... More

Paella is not as good as the other restaurant I've eaten but i can recommend you to try there traditional catalan arroz caldo. like a paella but not paella :) We... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend for good paella along with being a nice place. Well it was in a not so touristy part of town which gave it added fun. It was white table clothes but not stuffy. The paella was great. We had two different types, with each large enough for two to three people. The one... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
