Paella and service excellent

Very close to our hotel...about 2 minutes away. Quiet restaurant (well it was February and everywhere was quiet) but other reviews were correct.....Excellent paella. Service was very good and we loved the white wine we chose. Well worth a visit.

'Elche' on Calle Vila i Vilà, a short walk from our hotel (Barcelona Universal) on the Para-lel. The restaurant looks very exclusive although we found the charges were very reasonable and provided great value for money. We ordered paella which was prepared and cooked fresh while we sampled the 1L carafe of sangria which was considerably stronger and tastier than... More

This restaurant is an absolute find, the food and service are amazing. I needed to book in advance for a group of 30, the booking was handled very smoothly. The entire group enjoyed the experience of eating local dishes. I would highly recommend this establishment.

This place was recommended by a friend I met in Barcelona. I made an effort to come here to try the paella, and it certainly was worth the effort. The restaurant is in a nice location which is within walking distance from La Rambla. It has a very nice comfortable decor and feels warm and cozy in this time of... More

It was highlighted as the best paella place in Barcelona and it was 10 min walking distance from our apartment. We went without reservation but they found seats for us. It is classy, the service is a level higher than the typical BCN food spots. The food was really amazing and not too expensive.

Finally....Paella that is not too salty for our taste buds. Very pleasant setting and ambience, recommended for a good paella.

We have order paella 14 euro in menu but you must order for 2 persons. The paella was cooked very good and was very tasty. We have spent 70 euro for 2 persons, for 2 paella, tuna salad, ham balls, and one desert. Price resonable for what you eat and for the Barcelona too.

We arrived at the restaurant not very hungry. We asked for 2 starters and wished to share one noodle paella. The waiter said "ok than paella for 2". The paella we got was very good and very big. We could not finish it. When we got the bill we saw we were to pay double for the paella. Same goes... More

We stumbled onto this restaurant walking around on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were greeted warmly and shown a table right away. We ordered a couple of small appetizer dishes and then the seafood paella. The service was acceptable but nothing great, the paella was great. I didn't think the place was overpriced as some of the others have... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
