Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. All this, plus professional family-run service in a minimalist setting.

Discret and on the same time very attendant and personal, highly professional service. Made my 70th birthday... More

This Michelin starred, family run restaurant in Barcelona serves the very best interpretations of catalan cusine. We had the Centits menu, which is the middle sized one, with a wine pairing. Everything was relatively locally sourced, and half of the wines could not be bought any where else. The staff was very nice, and helpful.

This was a special treat for ourselves on recommendation of our daughter-in-law. We went for the taster session which was not cheap but we knew that when we booked. All I can say is that it was absolutely fabulous. It was a very posity experience. Go for the gastronomic menu, you won't be disappointed .

My husband and I went here during our honeymoon - the meal was amazing! We did the smaller tasting menu and were very happy with it. The service was excellent. Our favorites were the mackeral appetizer and the rice entree.

Beautiful food prepared with great commodities! We had the full menu and everything tasted excellent. The service was great and we even bought with us some tasty olive oil from the restaurants own producer.

The food, wine and service - everything was put together in a way that created a really great experience. Every plate was stunning - I especially recall an oyster with lemon foam. Also when leaving, we got a copy of the menu and some pastry for the day after. I really like to think back on restaurant visits and having... More

So we made a 1:30pm reservation for the tasting menu lunch and got to the restaurant at 1:25pm and the door was locked! I thought that was strange and assumed that lunch would be going on but it didn't start until 1:30....it's a small place but nice and service was impeccable although a little over the top ...I'll explain! so... We had the gastronomic menu and it was very, very good. Spending almost 3 hours in a bubble of great service and food made it almost chocking to enter back into the real world outside.

Paid our first visit for our wedding anniversary and managed to get in on the day we phoned them. We were not disappointed. Had the full tasting menu and each dish was described to us in detail as were the wines by the sommelier. They were so professional but friendly at the same time. The pickled vegetables were amazing as... More

We had the full tasting menu with wine (110 Euros + 60 for wine). The dishes were all creative and a visual and gustatory delight. Every dish was outstanding except for the oyster with sea foam - the oyster was huge and had to be cut to be eaten gracefully and the sea foam just didn't work for us... Oyster... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
