Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. All this, plus professional family-run service in a minimalist setting.

I really wanted to like this contemporary restaurant, but I didn’t. The pigeon dish was stunning (perfectly tender, very rare breast, and pigeon liver croquettes that popped in the mouth spilling their deliciously creamy contents). Everything else tasted off balance to me. Many dishes (including some savory ones) were way too sweet to my liking. Salt use was sporadic (sometimes... More

Ate here for my birthday dinner ... Outstanding! One of the best meals we have ever had. Highlight was certainly the foie gras. Just melted in your mouth. Service was extraordinary. Get the full tasting and wine pairing, you will be glad you did!

We managed to get a last minute booking at this restaurant on the first night we arrived. We were very lucky because the restaurant was completely booked. So, to keep it short, the menu of 19 tasting dishes and wine pairings was a beautiful, innovative experience. We went with my husband's two teenagers (14 & 17) and the staff were... More

Seriously, this place is amazing. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the service is some of the best I have ever experienced. If you are in Barcelona, you must give this place a try. You can tell there is a lot of thought given to the experience to dining here and it really is not something to be missed.... More

Our focus for the trip was on tapas but we did want to try One of the Michelin star restaurants in Barcelona and am so glad we did. Everything In this restaurant is wonderful including the simple yet elegant decor, impeccable service, delicious wine and cocktails, and of course the food. We are lucky enough to live in nyc and... Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
