Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. All this, plus professional family-run service in a minimalist setting.

There are so many great places to eat in Barcelona, and we really did a lot of research and thinking before we finally settled for Cinc Sentits for our mandatory Michelin splurge. We're so glad we did, we really had a perfect experience: friendly, informal but very professional service, brilliant and inventive (but not experimental) food beautifully presented. My favourites... One of the best dining experiences ever. Service was flawless. Food exceptional. Wine pairings were unusual, very interesting and generally very good. I think they may be ready for their second star.

Nowhere we've eaten since all over Europe, Mexico or the United States can compare. We always just look at each other and say, "Well, it isn't Cinc Sentits."

I can really appreciate the thought and technical skill that has gone into the food. We opted for the Chef's Gastronomic Tasting Menu €110 per person with the wine pairing €60 per person. I cannot fault or criticize the cooking, the service, the wine pairing or the ambiance. There were over 15 different courses, all consisting of one or two mouthful... More

We went for the Gastronomic menu, at Eur 121 with tax. It is an endless parade of small jewels, we enjoyed all of them. About twenty dishes. Very small of course but you'll be satiated by the end. Excellent breads and olive oil. We also went for the wine pairing at Eur 66 per person, and tasted seven good (some... More

Having eaten at most of the 1 and 2-stars in Barcelona as well as 1-2-3s all over europe and Asia I can confidently say this was the most underwhelming of the bunch. I am a chef myself so I am very critical and analytic of food but at the same time try to give the benefit of the doubt and... More

This experience was an awesome one. Cinc Sentits was recommended to us by family who visited earlier in the year and we were not disappointed. Booking in advance is recommended and you do have to choose one of their tasting menus. Due to the season, a special menu was in operation during our visit. The restaurant is very small -... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in Barcelona and treated ourselves to the Chefs Tasting Menu with wine pairing and were blown away. A short stroll from Placa de Catalunya, the restaurant was simple and beautiful. There were only three other couples dining, dim lighting, candlelight, and rose petals on the tables. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, and explained... More

We made a reservation about a month ago before we arrived and almost have to cancel the reservation. I am glad we made it to the place. Since our hotel is off la ramblas, we took a walk down which is around 15 mins. We both ordered the sentits dinner menu which is around €85 and ordered their wine separately.... More

Had a great time with their gastronomiic menu - many interesting and imaginative dishes - including various takeoffs on tapas. Good room and nice staff. Worth the effort and price.

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
