Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. A great Catalan experience.

Our lunch experience at Cinc Sentits was an experience in fine dining. The staff was from the start very nice and inviting. The Gastronomic Tasting menu with wine pairings was a perfect combination of different tasting sensations. Unfortunately the fish was somewhat dry and therefore without much... read more

I have just returned from my father-in-law's 60th birthday dinner at Cinc Sentits; and I must say that in terms of quality of food and flavour, Cinc Sentits is just ok. We were a group of 18 and so they closed the restaurant for us. We had the 7 course wine paired tasting menu, and out of these, only the... More

Our lunch experience at Cinc Sentits was an experience in fine dining. The staff was from the start very nice and inviting. The Gastronomic Tasting menu with wine pairings was a perfect combination of different tasting sensations. Unfortunately the fish was somewhat dry and therefore without much taste and the wine could be of higher standards. Also we would have... More

Simply put, its a really high end place and worth every euro. We were a party of ten who had the 9 course wined paired experience and we'll never forget it. If you can stretch to this budget, please go.

Went for the lunch menu, and were very pleased. The food was very good and interesting, presented nicely, inviting explanations and very attentive service.

This eating experience is as much about theatre and presentation as it is about the food. From the moment you arrive in the restaurant and look down the long, dark room with stylish waves of chains hanging from the ceiling and the only brightness from spotlights pooled on each table, you know you''re in for something special. The staff are... More

Cinc Sentits - here your senses will be challenged with the best of the Catalan kitchen. The Tasting menu incl. wine is a 3 hours challenge to your palate. The sommelier and her colleagues really know what they are talking about. Try it, you won't regret.

We went on the recommendation of the concierge at the apartment we are staying in. The restaurant is a tasting restaurant so there are two choices of menu - manically expensive or the lower priced extremely expensive one; and the whole table needs to choose the same menu. But the food and wine is very, very good. We had the... More

After spending ages trying to find a special place to celebrate my boyfriends 30th in a city I've never been to before I took a punt on this place. Turns out to have been the perfect decision. From the minute we sat down the service was a perfect blance of attentive without being over the top or pretentious. The tasting... More

I've been to Cinc Sentits many times in my trips to Barcelona and will come back every time I'm in town. This time was for my birthday, and chef Artal and the rest of the staff did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded all of my expectations. Some of the highlights were the signature fois gras, poached shrimp, and grilled... More

We celebrated our anniversary at Cinc Sentits and had told the restaurant in advance. There were rose petals at our table and a surprise for us later on - a lovely touch to the evening. I am pregnant and the staff was very attentive and made sure throughout the evening that the courses were suited and asked if there were... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
