Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. All this, plus professional family-run service in a minimalist setting.

Gastronomic Delight!

Paid our first visit for our wedding anniversary and managed to get in on the day we phoned them. We were not disappointed. We had the full tasting menu with wine (110 Euros + 60 for wine). The dishes were all creative and a visual and gustatory delight. Every dish was outstanding except for the oyster with sea foam - the oyster was huge and had to be cut to be eaten gracefully and the sea foam just didn't work for us... Oyster... More

I have dined here on a few occasions when visiting Barcelona. Each time reaffirms it as one of my favourite restaurants in the world. It is fine dining, but the value in terms of the quality of the experience relative to the cost puts it up there. In a city of plenty of good dining options, I recommend to anyone... More

Another of Barcelona's incredible tasting-menu-only restaurants. We went for the gastronomic menu because the traditional only featured a meat course and no fish. The meal was incredible and can only be compared with ABaC. The difference? ABaC was a little more elegant, Cinq Sentits a little more sexy. Cinq Sentits plating was a little more fun but its tastes less... More

I have just returned from my father-in-law's 60th birthday dinner at Cinc Sentits; and I must say that in terms of quality of food and flavour, Cinc Sentits is just ok. We were a group of 18 and so they closed the restaurant for us. We had the 7 course wine paired tasting menu, and out of these, only the... More

Our lunch experience at Cinc Sentits was an experience in fine dining. The staff was from the start very nice and inviting. The Gastronomic Tasting menu with wine pairings was a perfect combination of different tasting sensations. Unfortunately the fish was somewhat dry and therefore without much taste and the wine could be of higher standards. Also we would have... More

Simply put, its a really high end place and worth every euro. We were a party of ten who had the 9 course wined paired experience and we'll never forget it. If you can stretch to this budget, please go.

This eating experience is as much about theatre and presentation as it is about the food. From the moment you arrive in the restaurant and look down the long, dark room with stylish waves of chains hanging from the ceiling and the only brightness from spotlights pooled on each table, you know you''re in for something special. The staff are... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
