Awarded a Michelin star in 2008, and named one of the 80 hottest new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler, Cinc Sentits has created a buzz in Barcelona. Prodigal chef Jordi Artals playful experiments with Catalan tastes, aromas, textures, layers and sensations is cutting edge stuff. He recommends the seasonal Cinc Sentits tasting menu, and letting each course bring a new and exciting sensation to your palate. (Theres also a shorter, quicker version). Youll feast on Iberian suckling pig from Extremadura, deep water prawns from Palams, lamb from the Pyrenees, and veal from Galicia dishes are well described in English. All this, plus professional family-run service in a minimalist setting.

Very imaginative foodie extravaganza

Cinc Sentits - here your senses will be challenged with the best of the Catalan kitchen. The Tasting menu incl. wine is a 3 hours challenge to your palate. The sommelier and her colleagues really know what they are talking about. Try it, you won't regret.

We went on the recommendation of the concierge at the apartment we are staying in. The restaurant is a tasting restaurant so there are two choices of menu - manically expensive or the lower priced extremely expensive one; and the whole table needs to choose the same menu. But the food and wine is very, very good. We had the... More

After spending ages trying to find a special place to celebrate my boyfriends 30th in a city I've never been to before I took a punt on this place. Turns out to have been the perfect decision. From the minute we sat down the service was a perfect blance of attentive without being over the top or pretentious. The tasting... More

I've been to Cinc Sentits many times in my trips to Barcelona and will come back every time I'm in town. This time was for my birthday, and chef Artal and the rest of the staff did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded all of my expectations. Some of the highlights were the signature fois gras, poached shrimp, and grilled... More

We celebrated our anniversary at Cinc Sentits and had told the restaurant in advance. There were rose petals at our table and a surprise for us later on - a lovely touch to the evening. I am pregnant and the staff was very attentive and made sure throughout the evening that the courses were suited and asked if there were... More

I celebrated my birthday here and it was with great expectations that it was going to be memorable evening alas it was not to be! The staff could be a little more welcoming the reception is rather frosty. The tasting menu is delivered in an almost robotic fashion. Descriptions are hastily executed and the staff disappear. The same applies to... More

Offer two different tasting menues differing in number of courses and price. optional with corresponding wines. possible to change the menu according to your preferences (eg. no meat/fish...) if briefed in advance. Very good service, very good food and presentation. Huge wine selection. Thank you!

We had the Sentits 7 course meal. It was exceleent, we started with cava and then had a bottle of wine. All the courses were well prepared, displayed and served. The peas course was excellent as was the fish. We will be back - the service was attentive and place spotless. Highly recommended.

There are so many great places to eat in Barcelona, and we really did a lot of research and thinking before we finally settled for Cinc Sentits for our mandatory Michelin splurge. We're so glad we did, we really had a perfect experience: friendly, informal but very professional service, brilliant and inventive (but not experimental) food beautifully presented. My favourites... Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
