Restaurant Casa Calvet is located in Casa Calvet, a building created for a textile manufacturer by the Catalan Architectural genius Antoni Gaudi. Its accounting offices, management and boardrooms have been converted into semi-private dining rooms where we have preserved taste and elegance to the delight of our customers. Restaurant Casa Calvet is a unique and exclusive place where dining becomes a sensual experience which blends the state of the art cuisine with the beauty of Gaudi's work.

Special anniversary experience

We booked Casa Calvet to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and it proved to be both a memorable and enjoyable choice. It is a wonder that this place was not crowded. Gloriously old fashioned in appearance. Good service. Great food that I would have happily paid 50% more for.

This is my favourite restaurant in Barcelona. Its located in a Gaudi designed building that was originally built for a textile manufacturer. The restaurant space utilizes some of the old office layout to provide dividers and private dining rooms, so matter how big or small your party, its an excellent dining environment that adds to the experience. I would describe... More

Reviewed last year- excellent visit. Return visit this year, even better. High quality dining, service and ambiance. Would always include Casa Calvet in a return visit.... Worth noting, in the Gaudi museum in Park Guell (worth a visit), that they illustrate furnishings etc designed for the Calvet household by Gaudi.

The set lunch meal rivals the best restaurants in town at €34.00 it is remarkably inexpensive for tablecloth dining. I changed my dessert, and ordered off the a la carte, it was well worth it. Seriously, one of the best meals i have had in a long time, The added bonus of this culinary delight was that I was in... More

Perhaps the most memorable dining experience we had in Barcelona. Located in a Gaudi-designed house near the Plaza Catalunya. An elegant and large room transporting diners back a century. Great service. Be sure to see the original elevator cab i the lobby.

We chose Casa Calvet as our one fine dining experience while in Barcelona, and it fulfilled all our expectations. Two of the reasons for our choice was the Gaudi architecture and gluten-free-friendly reviews, and it delivered on both fronts. The interior successfully manages an unusual combination of industrial cast iron and tiles with luxurious wood carving. The atmosphere is quiet... More

Casa Calvet serves gourmet class food in a uniqe and historic atmosphere. Staff are proffesional, and the food is quite good, but with a bit to small portions, and a bit stiff pricetag. But if you want a quiet, romantic dinner in fabulous suroundings, it is absolutely recomendable

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
