We had a lovely meal at this restaurant which is located one block from the El Palace Hotel. Our meal was delicious - had the rack of lamb- but portions are small in relation to the prices paid. Excellent service and the surroundings in the Gaudi designed building were perfect.
We had not booked and were worried when we were asked upon arrival fortunately we arrived just as it opened so we were allowed their last table. From the free trial appetisers to the amazing starters, main and desserts, we could not fault a thing. This was truly an amazing experience in an amazing building!
The interior of this restaurant is beautiful, the staff are very attentive, friendly and they all spoke good English. I had duckling with pear which was a very small portion- I regretted not having a starter. One person I was with had walnut and strawberry salad and then pigeon. The other had spring vegetable filo pastry pie then lamb chops....

So. Not your flowing modernista Gaudi architecture, but something he did earlier in his career - more staid, more classical. But what a place to eat! Sixteen years after our first visit, Casa Calvet remains a classy option for dinner. For those on the Gaudi trail in Barcelona this has great credentials - an early commission for an office and workshop that lends itself brilliantly to cosy private dining booths under a high, barrelled ceiling. The workshop-like space is softened with original dark timber and glass...

The restaurant is located in a beautiful building. The staff is friendly and helpful. We chose the 4-course dinner and were given 2 appetizers. The food was refined and had great flavours. The winecard was extensive and the sommelier is able to make some reccomendations. We had a wonderful gastronomic experience for a fair price and would reccomend this restaurant...

Had a lovely dinner here for our 10yr anniversary. Its not cheap but the food was delicious, good wine list and the general atmosphere was just wonderful. The whole place exudes old world class - would recommend it for a special dinner
Me & my boyfriend booked in for lunch here during our trip for a treat. Entering the building is like being transported back in time, it's so stunning. Such an intimate and romantic atmosphere, we were seated in one of the little booths. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and the service was great throughout. It was quite expensive in...

We reserved in Casa Calvet due to memories of a great restaurant some 12 years ago, and to the building by Gaudi.
We are both vegetarians but my wife eats fish. She ordered the Peix de la llotja which was recommended by our waitress, and I had the ragout de verdure i tofu. The fish plate was a large chunk...
