Perhaps the most memorable dining experience we had in Barcelona. Located in a Gaudi-designed house near the Plaza Catalunya. An elegant and large room transporting diners back a century. Great service. Be sure to see the original elevator cab i the lobby.

We chose Casa Calvet as our one fine dining experience while in Barcelona, and it fulfilled all our expectations. Two of the reasons for our choice was the Gaudi architecture and gluten-free-friendly reviews, and it delivered on both fronts. The interior successfully manages an unusual combination of industrial cast iron and tiles with luxurious wood carving. The atmosphere is quiet... More

Casa Calvet serves gourmet class food in a uniqe and historic atmosphere. Staff are proffesional, and the food is quite good, but with a bit to small portions, and a bit stiff pricetag. But if you want a quiet, romantic dinner in fabulous suroundings, it is absolutely recomendable

Casa Calvet is a beautiful restaurant. Excellent for couples, friends, and business. Staff was very friendly and helpful to our English speaking family. After visiting a number of the Gaudi attractions in the city, it was a pleasure to dine in a Gaudi designed room. The food was excellent and though not inexpensive, I left very satisfied on cost per... More

The place pays the visit on its own. It's a taste of Gaudi Despite half of the restaurant was japanese tourists, food is really of excellent quality. Never miss the duck! Unforgivable: They serve the coke already in the glass from the kitchen. Besides being a signal of lack of consideration to customers, is far away from the level of... More

My group of friends and I stopped here on a whim while heading into town a bit. Just fantastic food overall, exceptional service, and loved the ambiance. We really enjoyed it and will come back next time I am in BCN!

Memorable restaurant in a remarkable building. just a few turns away from placa Catalunia, this restaurant is almost tourist free, frequented by locals. Very diverse menu selection, great choice of wine. Great place for a special evening with your loved one.

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
