Had a great lunch here today. We were 5 people including three kids aged 7 and under. We arrived at 1 pm sharp as they were opening and they looked a little disappointed to see our kids who'd been swimming in the sea despite it being late October. That said once we were sat down the service was great and... More

we did not have the chance to test the food as when we ordered the waiter told us that we must have ordered 4 meals as we were four (2 adults and 2 children). My youngest daughter was not hungry and wanted to share a plate of mussels with her sister. The waiter was very rude and said that we... More

We ate dinner here on a Saturday night. We were able to get a table outside without a wait. The service was fine, nothing spectacular but on par with what we experienced at most restaurants in Barcelona. A local recommended we come here for the rice dishes and we weren't disappointed! We had the Valencian rice with lobster. It may... More

A little on the pricey side, but hands down, the best paella in Barcelona. And we ate paella practically everyday of the 5 days we were there.

We stumbled upon Can Majo looking for a seafood lunch in Barceloneta. It was the busiest of the restaurants near the beach, which we took as a good sign. One of the waiters responded to an order for bacalao/cod by telling is that it was the one fish they didn't have fresh on the day. We appreciated this, taking it... More

This place was able to seat us without booking. The food was okay but nothing special. Prices not too expensive but they are looking for tourists rather than locals I would say. Would recommend if you are near but not a place to go in search of.

We arrived for lunch at 1pm without a reservation, but if you're going to arrive later, make sure you have one, as it fills up quickly! Not the friendliest welcome, but once seated the waiter took our order and was happy to explain about the dishes in English. We ordered the special paella (which has extra seafood), and was a... We ate out on the outdoor area for lunch, which gave nice views of the beach and people walking by. The food was very good, expensive if you order a la carte options (the Paella prices are minimum for two people so multiply the EUR amount by 2), so if you don't see the menu of the day listed on... I was lucky enough to be seated here without a reservation, but would definitely recommend that you make one regardless of day or time. The atmosphere on the terrace was great for people watching as it is very close to the beach. Service was fair. But the paella made it completely worth it- it was brimming with fresh seafood and... We went to Can Majo based on the recommendation of a friend and were quite disappointed. I should have trusted the lukewarm reviews on TripAdvisor! The service was lackluster with our waiter barely making eye contact and looking at his watch while discussing the menu with us. I am from NYC and am used to being disrespected by the waitstaff,...
