The restaurant specialises in paella so some other reviews slating starters like calamari are probably a little bit harsh - I'd recommend ordering just several paellas between your group (can vouch for the seafood Can Majo and squid ink ones) and sharing those. Beware that the service is rather slow - that takes the gloss off the overall experience

We heard the paella was amazing here and W concierge recommended. We sat on the terrace and the decor and the people immediately gave me the sense I was in a tourist trap. The grilled calamari appetizer was good. The main dishes were not. My son ordered cod which was so over salted that he could not stand more than... More

I went with my family two times within the space of a week. The quality and freshness of the food is to a very high standard - we ordered a variety of seafood from squid, to clams to lobster and more. The food arrived quite quickly and the waitress in charge of our table was friendly brought some things for... More

We had dinner here recommended by a local. If you like seafood prepared the traditional Catalonian style this is a good stop. All the dishes are fresh and tasty. Service is also good. Try the fried artichoke (it isnt on the menu). Worth a stop for dinner, specially if you are down by the beach as the location is amazing.

If you like good seafood this is the place to go. It is located near the beach and has option of outdoor dining. Book a table beforehand. Notice that indoor and outdoor tables are booked separately.

The restaurant was recommended by our concierge. We walked from the hotel in La Rambla, which took a nice 40 min or so, but we enjoyed the sightseeing on the way. Unfortunately we could not get seated outside but the air conditioned inside space worker well for us after the long walk. Food was great, service was great too. Price... More

If you want to celebrate a special occasion or impress your date/clients/customers, then this is the right place. Being our last nite in Barcelona, we decided to splash a little more. The food here is definitely delicious but on the pricey side. There are probably more affordable restaurants along the side of the road facing the marina.

Its hit and missed when you choose a restaurant from the Lonely Planet, but Can Majo is definitely worth a visit. Its location by the beach is a bonus for an alfresco lunch. If you forget to book in advance don't despair, buy a bottle of cava, cool off in the bar and practise your Spanish to other waiting quest.... More

Our hotel recommended Can Majo for good paella and a nice view along the beach in Barcelonetta. We walked from The top end of Las Ramblas (20 min) for Sunday lunch. We sat in the outdoor dining area which is fenced and covered and has a view of the sea. Lunch is from 1-4pm. We arrived at 1.30pm without a... More

This restaurant was recommended by someone who worked at the hotel we were staying at; and it was good advice indeed. The hotel booked our table (quite necessary, as it turned out) and we were seated in the outside seating area with a warm sea-breeze wafting over us. I don't often order fish at a restaurant but here there was... More
