I have been to Can Majo four times. Last time was yesterday September 2014. So ignore some of the bad reviews here as I actually understand the place. First, you do need to order wisely to get the best value. Basically share a starter - yesterday three adults and one five year old had the fried artichokes and pan/tomate -... More

We had dinner at this restaurant by the sea. Without a reservation we had to wait 15 min until they could ascertain that a potential cancellation was a no show. After we were seated we had to wait another 20 min until the waiter was available to take our order. We ordered two paellas (seafood, lobster) sized for 2 and... More

All the reviews rave about the view......what view ? We couldn't find it for all the all the other restaurants, trailers, stalls. No sight of the sea at all. I arrived to at 12.30.They weren't open but i spoke to the very disinterested manager /owner. He said he could give us a table for 1.00 pm but he needed it back... More

Loved the location of this indoor/outdoor restaurant, right on the beach - one of the better beach restaurants - tablecloths, opens at 8:00 pm, reservations recommended, but way too touristy for my taste. Food was only average at best - the zarzuela had good fresh seafood, but in a non- descript sauce that was far too salty. Service was perfunctory... More

The food was mediocre and the prices too high. Its very clean and the waiters were nice, but disorganised. Keep in mind that V.A.T. is not included. Paella was ok, but unfortunately served a little cold. The visitors were almost exclusively tourists, so if a person is looking for the "real" Barcelona experience, this is not the place.

Went here based on Yelp and Tripadvisor reviews. Pictures and reviews of paella seemed enticing. Had to choose between seafood paella, or paella with seafood + lobster. Decided to splurge and got the seafood + lobster at 18.50/pp (min 2 people). Paella was NOT crispy on the bottom. Per person, received 1/2 small lobster, 1 shrimp, 1 mussel. Would have... More

Like some other reviewers, I was a little bit unsure about whether to try Can Majo on the basis of some poor reviews. The location is excellent, and I found the waiters friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed their wine recommendation. What wasn't so good was the value for money particularly of the starters - 30 euros for 5 mediterranean... More

We went to Can Majo with certain apprehension as I'd read contrasting reviews and you're always weary of the popular "touristy trappy" types no matter if Lonely Planet recommends them. But this place did live up to its reputation - the paella CM style was flavoursome with plenty of seafood and the prawns were particularly meaty, the fried white fish... More

Best paella, amazing seafood restaurant. Great location as well - who doesn't like looking at the beach while eating a great meal? Service is friendly and attentive.

As our special treat meal of the holiday we booked Can Majo - we were not disappointed with the food, location and generally the whole restaurant. Some of the staff however were extremely off-hand and rude. However, its the owner/manager that took our order, and he could not have been more helpful and professional. The menu was varied with excellent... More
