Stopping by early at Cafe de L'Academi, we were lucky to be seated just outside the restaurant in a quaint square where church bells rang every quarter hour. We ordered a Spanish red that my husband nodded his approval of upon sipping. However, the proprietor knew it wasn't right, withdrew the faulty wine, and immediately brought another, which turned out... More

Tucked away in the Gothic Quarter in a quiet square is this little gem of a restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed lunch outside and in particular enjoyed the cod and Catalan sausage dishes. All were simply prepared that highlighted the best parts of the dish.

We had one of our most memorable meals on a perfect May afternoon where we had an outside table in the square for a near perfect lunch. As we sat to enjoy a very reasonable bottle of local Rose, a young man began playing guitar on the church steps. We had some great starters and fantastic squid and pistachio crusted... More

We enjoyed this excellent restaurant two of our four nights in Barcelona. The dishes were tasty and lovely to look at, the ingredients mostly local. The service was knowing and the atmosphere charged - it was fun just to watch!

Nice, cozy, small restaurant with very good food and friendly service. Dinner starts at 8 pm, which is a plus for those of us not used to eating at 10 o'clock.

Great little restaurant. We had not made a reservation so sat at the bar with a drink to wait for a table. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would recommend specifying the size you would like as most dishes are listed with a small and large portion. We presumed that our starters would come as the small size... More

Great little place recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel. The goat cheese and aubergine terrine starter was great - and the cod was perfection.

This restaurant has become our favorite... Guests from all over the world we take here and every single time it is a pure pleasure. The service is great, the food is fantastic, the wines are amazing, the atmosphere in this restaurant in the gottic area of Barcelona so pure. A stroll after dinner through the small streets towards Placa Neri... More

the food was ok, the service was kinda rude, our waiter was nice but the host seemed put out by us and every other diner that came through, there was a bald guy working there that kept giving us dirty looks and mumbling something under his breath. I just wanted to eat and leave.
