Always reliable

We always have dinner here whenever we visit Barcelona. It’s a small, unpretentious restaurant with good food & service. A nice aspect is the way they set up the menu – you can have a half-portion of almost every dish – it means you have a huge range of starters to choose from – or you could... read more

Had seen it recommended in various guide books before we visited Barcelona, and stumbled across it on our way to the Cathedral. Having browsed the menu we returned later for dinner and weren't disappointed. It opens at 8.30 for dinner, so we made sure we there for opening as we didn't have reservation. It is has a nice atmosphere inside... More

The food was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent and the waitress chose us very nice selection of different starters and wines. Eventhough it sounds boring, I highly recommend to taste also the green sallad.

The food at Cafe De L'Academia is excellent. The service, wine list and ambience is very good too. The cod omelette has to be the best omelette of my life. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it is well priced and rather romantic.

I found this restaurant by looking at other people's reviews and it definitely delivered! The food was fantastic, and was reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We were extremely full after our main dishes but decided to share a dessert- we had the Crème brûlée and it the best I have ever had. My boyfriend also said his... More

Situated in the Gothic Quarter of the city, this is an excellent restaurant and we highly recommend you check it out; don't miss out on the little bar literally around the corner called Ginger; excellent music and cocktails served. Back to the restaurant; excellent atmosphere, romantic, first class service and outstanding food for the reasonable price. Of course it's not... More

I came here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. It was perfect from start to finish: delicious wine, mouthwatering food, and a lovely atmosphere. We shared a couple of salads, the (giant) steak for 2, and delicious Catalan custard for dessert. Lovely candlelight, nice servers, and food to die for!

We had a great dinner...excellent service, great food. The best lamb chops we have ever had. Pink and tender as.... I had the calamares sepia... Delicious, served on a crab (I think!) base...tender and scrumptious....reasonable prices, good desserts too... Good wine list. After several days of tapas and pinchos, this was a great sit down dinner. Dark ambience...some strange decorations..(... More

I do not know how we have missed Cafe De L'Academia on our many previous visits to Barcelona but one thing is certain it will be a definite fixture on future visits. We booked for a birthday dinner after reading great reviews and it was also recommended by a friend who has a business nearby. The ambience, service and of... More
