Pretty good..

but not special, and the prices ARE special. You can eat better food for lower price somwhere else. Despite that, the food is very tasty and the place has nice climax, the service and the look of the dishes are perfect.

So...like everyone else has said. It's a beautiful room and the service was exceptional. However, I was so not that impressed with the food. You can put foie gras on everything, but there was nothing inventive. There were luxurious ingredients, but nothing that I walked away saying "wow". For the money pick something else.

We tried a few Michelin-star restaurants in Barcelona. But this was one value-for-money good food I thought worth reviewing. Food is excellent, service is very attentive and the wine pairing is quite spot on.

This restaurant has a Michelin Star we discovered when the concierge ushered my wife and me on. The ambience and location is top. Very classy decor and livery very professional. I have to say that I'm not all impressed with a Michelin rating as I've been disappointed all to often with both two and three star rated Michelin restaurants. I... More

From the Cava to desert everything was just amazing. The "Escouffier" menu for 85 € was a great pick and even if the single portion was small, we feel full, happy and satisfied now. The flavours, the different textures, the service - I couldn't name a single thing I would have changed. The beat for us was the beef fillet... More

I was there with my boyfriend celebrating his 30th birthday. i took the menu option with wine pairing. Food and service was amazing!!! We got a more expensive dessert for the price of cheaper menu. Really good place!

We had the 39 euro lunch and can give it a 5 star rating. Befitting the price it is three courses, set menu, plus a glass of wine. Now that said, next time we go (and we will go) we will not be getting the price fixed lunch. Why not? Another table evidently ordered from the ala carte menu and... More

My wife and I had a great dinner at Caelis. The food was delicious (don't miss the pressed duck done at your table!), the service was very helpful, attentive, and cordial. And the atmosphere was very attractive; We look forward to returning many times for more wonderful meals.

A group of six of us visited for a Saturday lunch. First impression: gorgeous, elegant and spacious dining room - an ideal place for a leisurely lunch. Shortly after we were seated we were offered an amuse bouche, containing a sea urchin mousse with caviar and some foie gras with hazelnuts - this set the tone for a very high... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
