Situated inside one of Barcelona's classic luxury hotels, the Palace, Caelis appeals from the moment you step into the spacious, table-scarce, gorgeous dining room. There are two tasting menus, and most dishes in the menus can be had a la carte. We were travelling with a lovely, but fish-hating friend, so when we ordered the Escoffer menu for the table... More

I used to eat in more Michelin places than I do now. I started to feel that (on the whole) they delivered spectacle and opulence at the expense of flavour and enjoyment. But I wanted to try one such place in Barcelona alongside the various tapas bars I also wanted to visit on this trip. I am so glad I... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The warm welcome and service was impeccable, making you feel at ease straight away. The Sommelier Florian was charming and amazingly was able to converse with my mother in law in Russian! (Awesome!) We ordered from the Classic tasting menu and found every course to have truly enjoyable highlights. The service was well balanced... More

Had lunch here with my girlfriend a took the Caelis menu, 3 courses + amuse bouche and coffee cake. drinks were included which meant two glasses of wine including refill and coffee. Being from Sweden we were amazed by the quality of the food and wine delivered for this very modest price. The service was great and at the level... More

We had the classic menu and wine menu - it was a fantastic evening, the place, the service, the food and not the least the company :-)

The menu was delicious but the "wine by the glass" were poor and of no interests. We had surprising plates and I truly like the desert "bomb": what a surprise!

Firstly, I must commend the service, absolutely outstanding. We ordered the classic menu which was €85pp and the wine selection was €40pp. Secondly the food was exquisite. I had never been to a Michelin starred restaurant before and I absolutely loved it! The macaroni lobster is to die for. 100% recommend.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
