Tango night charm

Had a very enjoyable evening with good food and attentive and well informed staff. The set menu offered a good range of dishes at a reasonable price. The Tango lessons in the back room only added to the charm.

Very good interesting vegetarian food at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit and we aren't true vegetarians!

I loved the food. Also the old fashioned boleros. The decoration looks like it would benefit from some renewal.

Nice enviroment, the place has a big saloon. The menu of the day includes the Salad buffet (very nice) or a soul and one of the hot dishes! Very yummy vegan and vegetarian options! It is strongly recomended! Wish I have one Biocenter restaurant close to my house :-)

Maybe it was very healthy? But the coffee was very watery and really not very good, We were very disappointed as we were cold and wanted to have a lovely coffee, but it wasn't... They need to improve.

Having enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner in Biocenter at start Jan. and having sung its praises to all and sundry over several weeks, I was thrilled to be popping back in to the restaurant once again for an early evening dinner. However, this time we were in for a nasty surprise... Once seated we were literally forgotten! We received the... More

Disappointing! Salad bar was ok though not topped up. Main course (as part of their set menu) was as tasteless as I have tasted. Aubergine quiche with rice and veg, with some bland sauce on it. Oh and it was cold too - so I had to send it back to be warmed. Staff were pleasant however and it is... More

We were looking for a good place for breakfast, since most places serves greasy eggs and bacon with white bread. So we tried this for a change and oh boy! All vegan/vegetarian delicious nutritious food. We had the platter with hummus, guacamole, tomato salsa and olive tapenade and it was all YUM. It all tasted homemade and there was glutenfree... After having eaten many heavy meals, the review in Time Out about the Biocenter restaurant sounded too good to be true. However, the reality was less promising. We ordered the E10 menu, which came with salad, bread, a main dish to choose and dessert. While the salad bar was ok, the main dishes were bland and unimaginative. The greek musaka... More

After reading a Time Out write up on this place which said - 'generous portions', 'not your usual lettuce & tomato type salad place' we were expecting a decent meal, we were wrong! Decided on a sharing plate for starter, this consisted of 4 tiny crocquettes on a bed of lettuce, no dressing was provided or offered and it was... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
