Good food - service not too friendly

This large restaurant is located on the first floor and was very busy on the evening we dined. The service was not that friendly, which is slightly disappointing for the standard of food. A great selection for fish and seafood lovers.

This was a huge disappointment service poor food poor decor poor. Good location but that's it. I wouldn't waste time and money going here . Fish was cold and tough, my wife's tuna steak was almost ice in the middle so no attention to detail just a sausage factory

Certainly not another Tourist trap seafood restaurant Barcelona is packed with seafood restaurants of which I can easily describe as tourists traps Barceloneta is certainly not one of them and probably the best Sea food in town This was my 3rd visit to the restaurant and it never failed to impress me 👍 So keep up with the good job... This restaurant was a very popular place in a side of the Barcelona harbour. For a Thursday night it was crowded but we did reserve in advance. The menu is full of so many kinds of dishes and variety was great. We had around 6 dishes to share with 4 other people and from the starter to main dishes they... More

We read some good reviews of the restaurant and heard the paella was good. The day was rainy but otherwise it would've been a great view of the port. We tried a few dishes on the menu including their razor clams and salmon dish, which were both nothing to write home about since the razor clam was just steamed and... More

A Catalan-American friend suggested this restaurant and I anticipated a great experience. The restaurant has a nice view of the port and that is about it if you are from the USA. I ate paella at least 4 times in Barcelona and by far this was the worst. My wife's steak was unexceptional too. Our appetizer was nothing to write... More

Been here twice now and both meals have been very good. Seafood is plentiful, meat dishes aren't bad too. Lots of staff and the kitchen is open to look at as you walk through.

Soup is not recommended, seafood is excellent, price is high but worth for taste (not for service as it is slow). Easy location.

Also, I asked if I can have a smoke out in the terrace I was told no, so I went out through the stairs and when I came back I saw people being allowed to smoke in the terrace !!!!!!! anyways food... We went in a recommendation and were not disappointed. You need to book as even on a Tuesday evening in March the place was full. Booking can be done in English on the web site and you get an email confirming a booking - ask for a table on floor 2 next to a window. You will be in and... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
