I cannot really claim to know it is genuine. But, it felt genuine and tasted superb. Attentive service and even a menu in English. This one felt as if it was a "where the locals go". Still quite a few tourists, so please hurry up before us TA readers make the locals go away. We let the server suggest some... More

We had plans to eat at another tapas restaurant but the wait was 1.5 hours. The restaurant recommended this place and we loved it! In fact, they didn't have any open tables but the small table by the entry was just clearing out so they seated us there. It was one of our favorite dinners. I liked being able to... More

The food and the service were outstanding and the restaurant hit all the marks. A very creative menu using high quality ingredients and very well priced. Our servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the service was fast and attentive. We arrived just before it filled up but the crowded dining room was never an issue. This place... We wanted a meal on Valentine's night and were worried about finding a good restaurant with availability that wouldn't be too expensive. Our hotel is very local to this restaurant and we were able to walk in less than 10 minutes. On arrival we thought the layout and deco was brilliant, very cosy and intimate. We were the first to... Really good service. Not the tipical cheap and "turistic" spanish tapas. I am catalan and I recommend this restaurant as a good example of our food

Went with my boyfriend and sister for dinner, but felt that the ambiance is better suited for lunch-time. Aside from that, everything else was absolutely wonderful! The waiter treated us very well and the tapas were delicious! They offer a good menu option for 22 euros for at least 2 people, which includes about 5 or 6 tapas, a bottle... More

True to it's name, Atapa-It, is the "IT" place for tapas. Their pulpo creations are amazing! Service is also excellent, as well as the wine recommendation. It doesn't hurt that the prices are as excellent as the food. Will definitely come back again when we are in Barcelona.

We stumbled upon this gem on our first day in Barcelona and every meal after it paled in comparison. Every tapa we ordered was wonderful and perfectly portioned. The service was warm and friendly. My husband and I really recommend this place to anyone.

We visited on our first night in Barcelona as we wanted to try a proper little tapas restaurant. It really did not disappoint. We were the only customers in the entire place for the first 45 minutes so it was a real private dining experience with a very special feel. We decided to order the set 6 tapas for €23... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
