Small but authentic and unpretentious place between subway station Verdaguer and Girona. The empanadas (€2.20 each) tasted really good! The hot baguette (€4.00) with pork consisted of just bread and pork but with nice seasoning and bread. All in all a small friendly place with good food! Perfect for lunch or brunch.

My friends and I loved this place! We read about it on Trip Advisor and went twice during our 4 day stay. You can't argue with 2.20 for a DELICIOUS empanada! A great selection of fillings, as well as a range of baguettes and salads. The staff were friendly and the place itself was very cute and quaint. Free Wifi... More

A small, friendly, place for some good empenadas when you have had enough of expensive meals. Chicken and plum empenadas was especially good.

Visited for dinner, only a stones throw away from our hotel. Waiter was friendly and spoke very good English and the place has a lovely feel to it. Luckily there were several vegan choices, as two were sold out, with a very large Salad that we shared and potatoes with a sauce that I could probably just eat with a... More

Tasty food, welcoming host... What more could one want? The menu is small but interesting with a choice of pasties, bravas and salads. This is an ideal place to stop for a meal if you are on a budget or veggie.

We stopped here after visiting the La Grada Familia on recommendation by TripAdvisor. Jose, the owner was extremely friendly and helpful and entertained out 10yr ld daughter with his humour. All the food was fresh and tasty, the drinks were excellent and you couldn't complain about the prices. Just what you want when on holiday, well done!

They have lots of different homemade empenadas you will want to try! Their patatas con quatro quesos is delicious and their version of the patatas bravas is exquisite (their "patatas" are baked, not fried). Desert is ok, but not exceptionnal. They play jazzy loung music and the decor is really cool. It's a no brainer. And the service was impeccable... More

Just love this little place! The decor is warm and unique, the service is wonderful (very important and not always easy to find in Barcelona) and the food is amazing. It's so nice to find a good salad - full of fruit and whatever is in season at the time. I definitely recommend this charming little restaurant.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
