Couldn't have asked for better!

Can't praise this brilliant little place enough! We went in fairly early so it was very quiet at first, but we were made to feel really welcome by the fantastic waiter. He went through everything on the menu with us very thoroughly- and then did the same with everyone else who came in! He was so... read more

at any ramblas you have people luring you in their place to eat. Good places do not need that, they need all their staff truly serving their clients. El 58 is a good place. Great place, good food, friendly staff, good advice on food and drinks. If that all comes together you know you have a good evening spend.

We were staying local to this lovely restaurant and decided to try it out nearer the end of our stay...I wish we had visited earlier so I could have eaten there again before our departure. The service was outstanding, the staff were keen to translate where we needed it and they made our visit very enjoyable...one thing I did appreciate... More

We came here on our last night in Poblenou and thought we would try based on the Trip Advisor recommendation. Turned up at 8-30 and they were full but couldn't have tried harder to accommodate the three of us. After a couple of beers we ordered 6 plates of tapas - all extraordinarily good. Salmon burgers with samphire and roe... More

front of house is promising, we'd actually tried to eat here before on a Sunday but the number of kids was too much for us so we legged it. This time there were still kids all over the place, but somehow kids are far more acceptable in Spain than in Irish restaurants and better behaved. Anyway we had some wine,... More

Intrigued by the great reviews we took a look in this restaurant march 2015. We were amazed! The best tapas we ate during our trip in Barcelona. Friendly staff which helped us out by translating the menu. Most of all: honest! We ordered 7 tapas for 2 and the waiter advised us to drop one, because he thought it would... More

The service here was excellent and very attentive. We had the usual mix of Tapas and enjoyed it a lot. We ate out on the patio in early March and even out there the staff was in constant attendance. All the food was tasty and well prepared. Recommended for the area of Rambla del Poblenou.

I not only recommend the amazing Tapas (best we have ever had anywhere), but the stunning customer service. We (wife and I) visited the restaurant in the Autumn while in Barcelona for a conference and chatted briefly to the staff over dinner and to some chap who we assumed is the manager or owner. We returned this weekend, not only... More

Often on the most popular street it can be hard to fine good cuisine that you dream about the next day (and even moments after eating). But, El 58, located on Rambla Poble Nou it definitely one extraordinary exception to the rule. I have eaten here twice (once the menu del día and once for dinner) and both experience take... More

Me and my partner were staying in Barcelona for 4 nights when we came across this gem on TripAdvisor and thought we'd give it a try based on the fab reviews. It didn't disappoint! The first visit was incredible, the menu is based on a chalkboard which the waiter translated for us which was a lovely touch. We're quite adventurous... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
