Really good Nikkei fusion cuisine!

Dining at Pakta was like a cultural education. I never knew that there was a strong Japanese influence or population in Peru, and the mix of both cuisines are amazing, I am just glad they did not serve Guinea Pig as part of the menu! It was my first timing dining in a Michelin star restaurant. Never tried Japanese-Peruvian fusion food before and it was surprisingly good! Each course was explained to us in detail and I can't say which course was my favorite as they were all very delicious. The pisco sour (cocktail) is a must-try. We also had a pot of tea to... More

Pakta will make you happy but it won't leave you with a "wow!". It's a degustation menu with a choice of two options. After reading various opinions beforehand, we chose the "Machu Pichu" menu; the "full deal" as it were. The decor is evocative of a Tokyo Taberna. There is plenty of wood, and a pleasant, informal atmosphere with no... More

First time to experience the mix of japanese and peruvian fusion. Light, fine, distintive. Nervous service in the beginning but excellent after that. Resonable wine.

me and my husband visited pakta after doing some research on the Adria brothers in barcelona. we thought pakta sounded like a really cool concept meshing peruvian and japanese flavors. was really easy to make a reservation on their website. we were seated at the main bar which was awesome to see the chefs cook and plate all the dishes... Pakta is definitely one of the more interesting and creative gastronomic experiences I have had lately. The brainchild of famed Spanish chef Albert Adrià, Pakta offers you an interesting fusion of Japanese and Peruvian dishes, and succeeds quite well, in my opinion. You can choose between two menus (I went for the smaller option), and just expect to be surprised... More

Pakta is based on the concept of a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian inspired by the Japanese cuisine in South America in the late 1800's. The restaurant had an intimate setting, beautifully decorated, staff were attentive, friendly and provided the explanations for every dish. They also informed us that each course comes one after the other quite soon and if... More

It's good. But our expectations were much higher. The Adria brothers can do better, we know that. The very small kitchen leads to more show then surprises concerning the food you'll get. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian kitchen was interesting, but promises more. Therefore we also find it rather expensive. Good service, nice interior.

The food was good. However, the restaurant is small and feels crowded. The service is too quick, one feels rushed over the food. The table was constantly wiped with an old green cloth that did not look very hygienic. In summary, the service and the ambience do not match the quality of the food which at a 125 Euros menu... Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
