A nice little place to have breakfast

We went here to have breakfast. The service was better than usually in Barcelona and the food was good. Just a little bit expensive.

My wife and me went there twice. The first day after missing breakfast at the hotel and the second time for a late lunch. We had wonderful eggs in the oven, with spinach. The second day we had a really good personal interpretation of Caprese salad, with sun-dried tomatoes and a delicate vinaigrette. The chef Creates and TASTES her own... More

The location is nice, the design gorgeous, and the food is good (though expensive). Unfortunately, the staff is rude and there are some absurd "rules" (such as no sandwiches after 12 pm or such). Worth visiting anyway.

I have been here a couple of times and I love the terrace in the afternoon. Be it for a good coffee or an early vermut, you're at the right place. Superfriendly people as well.

Just perfect! Attitude, service, food... We found the Taranna accidentally while walking through the streets of the quarter and immediately liked it. There were no seats available and we had to wait couple of minutes. After that began a time of calmness and timelessness like we were not in the busy and tourists directed Barcelona... The quality of the food... More

Excellent, friendly and lovely place! The staff was warm and welcoming. The food was fresh, healthy and tasted very good. It was one of the highlights of our Barcelona trip. Oh and did I forgot to mention? A bargain.

We went there last week for dinner and drinks. The food was mediocre, and rather expensive for the quality it had. Then a couple of friends arrived around 22.30 and wanted to have a gintonic while we were finishing off our dinner. The owner came and told us that the table was only for people who were having dinner and... More

I had a pain au chocolate for my breakfast and a carrot cake. Yes, a cake for breakfast. When i saw the carrot cake in their display, it's hard to refused. Both taste wonderful. But the carrot cake with pistachio srinkled on top is one of the best carrot cake that i've ever tried.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
