Ranked #348 of 5,589 restaurants in Barcelona
Price range: $55 - $69
Cuisines: Seafood
Dining options: Reservations, Late Night
Description: The upstairs of Rias de Galicia becomes a "sea" of little dishes, more casual, more fun, more imaginative, and more economical. A modern setting, with a kitchen bar where chefs prepare many dishes in front of customers. Two Rías in one. The menu has two parts. The main one based on elaborations without fire, is an anthem to the "product". And a second one where we discover the fire.

We decided to eat here for Saturday lunch, we were not disappointed. This place understands the concept of quality, fresh food. They have a huge tank on the ground floor with live lobster, crab and sea fish such as red mullet. My advice is (and make sure you are hungry) to go for the taster menu. At €60 it is... More

We arrived early Spanish time (9ish) and it was still quite calm, but the fruity cocktail aperitifs quickly helped us forget that. My husband had been here before and he had some great suggestions; the oysters with fish eggs, the scallops in soy sauce (my short description is not doing these two dishes justice!), the sashimi, the lobster salad (actually... We originally went to Espai Kru almost by accident. It was our last night in Barcelona and we’d had reservations for another of their sister restaurants, but our group grew and they couldn’t accommodate us, so we changed to Espai Kru to fit our group of five business diners. It turns out that it was a wonderful accident! The dining... More

We tried some of the best seafood ever here and if you like sashimi and carpaccio style food, my guess is that you will like this too. We loved the toro/sea bass tartar and the tomato tartar particularly much. You should call and book in advance.

For us real foodies Barcelona is like Disney for the kids. You will find top quality Catalan and Spanish places by the dozens. It is rare to find a city with so many top choices. espai Kru is a small restaurant about 2 km from the Gothic Quarter so it can be a nice little walk if you are staying... More

If you like seafood, and especially raw, then this is your heaven. The service was impeccable with plenty of time taken to explain the menu, and suggest really good alternatives. Highlights were Navajas, Sashimi especially the Salmonete (my favorite), and the Bogavante salad with mango. We loved the the atmosphere - probably a bit more oriented to friends than a... More

A dear friend's visit from Lima seemed like a good excuse to finally make it to the much publicized Espai Kru, a venue by the much self-publicized Iglesias brothers. We had had a memorable meal in the Rias de Galicia, located in the same building, and looked forward to what their asscoiation with Ferran Adria might have contributed to their... More

A memorable evening spent at Espai Kru - beautiful fresh ingredients and fish - some innovative ideas with incredible results - one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at - and value for money. A real find.

Kru was recommended to us by Tickets, another restaurant in the same group, who couldn't accommodate as short notice & it was fantastic. Having been to Barcelona several times before the concept here is a refreshing change to the somewhat heavy tapas offerings int the city. The service was exceptional with wine & sashimi recommendations and explanations of the menu.... More

If you like seafood and raw things like sashimi or tartar, this is your restaurant in Barcelona. This is honestly one of my favorite restaurants. The quality of the ingredients, the way they are prepared and the final result are just incredibe! If Pakta is fully booked or just alittle out of your price range you should go to Espai... More
