Good location

I like this place because it serves good coffees and is situated in a nice corner where you have a good view of the city. If you sit outside that is. By view I mean you get to see people walk by etc. The weather always seems to be nice over there so there is always outside sitting.

For sure the best pastry in barcelona. If you are here, you have to try it !! A must! The shop window was very eye catching. I took away 4 pieces for dessert ; they were heavenly delicious. I strongly recommend.

The chef of this pastisseria (Josep Maria Rodriguez Guerola) was World Champion in 2011 and you can definitely see why. We were lucky enough to stay at a hotel which was very close to his shop in Carrer de Arago (apparently there is also a new shop in Via Augusta) and we went there twice. Both times the shop was... My wife and I enjoyed passing by this pastry and sweets shop at all times of the day or evening to snack, nibble and take home some more. Amazing taste, lovely choices, you can never try all they have to offer or on display. Highly recommended for all sweet tooth people. You can have breakfast, brunch, afternoon, tea, or just... More

We went to try the famous crema catalana, we ended up with a crema catalana croissant that was delicious. There is a great variety of experimental desserts and clearly innovative treats. The concept is original, fine and modern. A place to visit.

Gorgeous pastry which is equally delicious. Don't miss it. There are many cafes in Barcelona offering baked goods, but La Pastisseria is a giant in terms of artistry and flavor and it's all made right there.

OMG it's deliciously smooth as silk, my favorite! Beautifully decorated cakes and very inviting display, when I'm standing in front of these little cakes my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I come here to buy cakes whenever we feel like having a nice treat after dinner at home or birthdays. Highly recommended even though I don't particularly enjoy their... More

This place is terrific. We visited more than ten time over four weeks and everything we tried was delicious. It's a stand in line, order and sit place. They'll bring you the food and the drinks. Prices are very reasonable. The quality if outstanding. The decor is very stylish. This place is worth going out of your way.

Really, I need to say that again, every pastry looks better than the other! And the taste just as good! Just buy with your eyes, and your lips will thank you.

This place is an excellent masterpiece. The local is modern and luxury. You really can feel comfortable inside. The service is fast and nice, helpful too. Their desserts and cakes look fabulous. And are really delicious. Prices are high but totally worth it. Highly recommended.

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
