Excellent quality!

Great quality ice cream, lots of flavors, had a tough time choosing !! I liked the fact that the pistachio one was not the usual bright green, I guess no extra artificial color added. Also, the Vioko chocolate flavor really yummy.

I read on this website that the icecream supposed to be one of the best, so I made an effort to go for it for a try. Unfortunately I was attended by a rude young woman (maybe because she was tired as it was already 9pm, but still...). I ordered violet and berrie icecream and grapefruit with jasmin. The substance... This heladería adjacent to the church of Santa Maria del Mar in the Born area of Barcelona is an excellent stop during long city walks. I had the best lemon sorbet in years. So refreshing and tasty.

Great ice cream, reasonable pricing. Lots of chocolatey gifts to bring home from vacation! Only downside is that the flavours are a bit over the top sometimes.

Nom! We decided to stop for an icecream by the church after a busy day exploring. This definitely is the best we've had in Barcelona (we've had ice cream everyday of our trip). We had the creme catalana and the tira misu, both were sublime.

This is simple: Vioko serves the best ice-cream I've eaten in Barcelona. Unique flavors! Also some weird options like parsley... I usually stick to my favourite pineapple with strawberries + coconut. But also mandarin with ginger is a must! Don't miss!

The creamy caramel temptation ice cream is a must try! Although we tried several dessert and i e ceam places, we visited this little place at least once a day for the duration of our visit.

Visiting the Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral and we happened on this little gem on a small side street to the left of the main entrance of the church. My kids and I had the most amazing Gelat for just 10 Euro. I had the coconut and my kids had the bon bon Flavor consisting of chocolate, dulce de leche... More

The ice cream is to die for. So smooth and the flavours were really clean. Didn't try the chocolate, didn't need to. A lot of ice cream shops around here that may be great but I was happy here.

A bit expensive maybe (3,30 for a cone with one scoop) but better then every icecream I have ever had. A lot of choice in flavours and very tasteful. Try it out.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
