Found this place when searching online for Ethiopian/African restaurants in Barcelona. Decided to come with a friend the other night and we had the "Afritapa Desgustacion" which consisted of a lot of starchy dishes which were each accompanied with a thick tomato sauce (a savoury puff cake, sweet potatoes, and a Sierra Leonese twist on Patatas Bravas) as well as... It was great to discover this place, the food was excellent. We'll try white cassava leaf with fufu-yam and okra with palm oil and rice. The taste so interesting and new. The cocktails and the african drinks are so amazing. We recommend the afrococktail and the palm wine. We really had a romantic and delicious dinner. We'll return back soon!!!

How this place isn't completely packed is beyond me. It gets consistently good reviews, and our experience matched that. It's tucked away on a tiny side street in what seems to be a North African district of El Raval (maybe foreigners are afraid to go there?) I had the tilapia -- which was moist & tender -- with fried plantains.... More

Magnificent restaurant in Raval, a couple of days ago I went with some friends and the truth is that we loved. The quality and treatment are excellent, the portions generous (sometimes too much) and fine meats. We were looking forward to trying the typical snails but as again, I will report. Price does not .

Unlike so many restaurants in Barcelona just designed to squeeze the money of out you with mediocre food presented with fancy names and decoration... this a genuine place, genuine people and genuine food. My experience with food from the African continent so far is that it is not necessarily the most tasty but I always appreciate to try new tastes... More

friendly service and food was not bad. We chose the set menu option which was good value however food was a little bland and needed the extra hot sauce which comes with the meal to add a bit of kick.

I've been there a few times and never deceived me. Food is tasty and easy to digest. Try any of the starters. The price is really convenient. People running the place is a plus.

I had dinner here, and the one main dish was fairly big and really filling. I ate the tilapia with fufu, the tilapia was perfectly cooked, and the fufu was great. The veggie salsa that comes with the dish was very tasty. All this was accompanied by a fiery sauce on the side, which you can mix to your liking... More
