Great hot chocolate on a cold day

Saw lots of people here and stopped for hot chocolate on a cold day. More like a pudding than a drink. Comfort food. Nice atmosphere. Family friendly.

La Nena has a very tranquilizing, mellow atmosphere, afforded by a colorful and quaint decoration, and overall very well taken care dining rooms. You can seat and read for hours while drinking one of their great smoothies, hot chocolates or teas. Their food menu is simple, with a very high quality offering of sandwiches, quiches and salads, and among them... More

Enjoyed basic hot chocolate and churros here at that point in the afternoon when you need a bit of a lift. Wowee. Wish I could manage more chocolate in a day because I'd have had another, along with a slice of the chocolate cake that was staring at me saying 'eat me'. Posted a review just for the drink though,... More

We came here for hot chocolate and a snack after going to Park Guell. The hot chocolate was very good. The portions of whipped cream were very generous. I had the tomato and manchego toast and that was very good with a good portion size. We also had a cheesecake which I heard was weird and a slice of some... More

Don't come here if you are hungry... They are so slow!! Shame since they do an awesome job food wise... But not worth the wait I'm afraid. Also don't count on the staff being smiley or anything...

Busy little cafe in great area of Gracia. Full of friendly people. We had the Xocorus , which is rich hot chocolate with a ball of vanilla ice cream, coffee and churros (xurros). They were all delicious. While we were waiting we played a bored game as a family and had a lovely afternoon. Highly recommended:-)

I had read that this was the place to go for chocolate and churros. Sadly, they did not have churros when we went, but the food was fanastic. I recommend the open faced toast options. Mine had mushrooms, roasted red peppers, and goat cheese and was really good.

Good chocolate and crepe. I love the place. It is really near to the metro station in an amazing area of Barcelona! I highly recommend it.

I have have never tried a hot chocolate like it. It was brilliant. This place is chock full of board games, pencils and paper do spend a while here and play, drunk and eat. The portions are generous and the fresh juices are great too.

We can recommend their chocolate. It's a relaxed atmosphere where you can play different board games.

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
