comfort food for a pretty good value

The restaurant is located in an area filled with other Chinese businesses, so you can be sure that the local Asian population ate at this place often, along with university students (I can understand why, it's a lot of food for good value). It's a no-frills type of place, which is something I look... read more

This is one of the best restaurants that I enjoy going. It is usually difficult to find place on Saturday at 14:00, for that reason I try to be there earlier. I really enjoy the noddles and I think are hand-made (I do hand-made pasta at home and I know their texture). All the food that I tried was of... More

The waiter and waitress are rude, that's true! But who cares? The food is excellent, the prices are cheap and after the meal you can go to Parc de la Ciutadella to take a short sleep under the palm trees. :) Because you get a big amount of food in Chen Ji. The best place for couples, and with your... More

I'm studying abroad in Barcelona for the semester and live very close to this restaurant. I noticed it was always packed or had a line out the door so I knew it must be good and decided to give it a try. I now eat there at least 2 times a week and can confidently say that it's "pulled noodle... More

Took my parents and brother here. The waiter (that looked about 15) old to sit at an undesirable table despite others being available. Asked to sit at the table we preferred and he very rudely refused us without giving a reason. Told us to "sit at the back here or sit at the back there." Asked the female member of... More

The first time I saw this place was when I dropped my daughter off to study in Barcelona in January, there must have 20+ people outside. Each night as we went off to find the next tapas restaurant the same story, long lines. My Grandfather always said, if you've never been there, eat only at restaurants with a lot of... More

Cheap Chinese restaurant. Very noisy and you will probably to wait a little bit, actually it is quite plenty of people. You can try different dishes and enjoy from spice-tofu, noodles, or dumplings... Perfect for a friends meal!

The food its ok! the quality and price relation it's really good. Nevertheless, I dont think its a good place to go with your bf/gf bc its too informal and not clean. once you get out of the restaurant, the clothes smells. They also use msg which makes the food tastes a little it artificial. They never change the menu... More

I eat a lot of Chinese food around the world and more often than not it is soggy, over saturated, heavy, and not worth it. Che Ji was exceptional and you really got bang for your buck. The youth scene here was pretty cool and reminded me of my days in high school in chile. I would definitely take away,... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
