Great restaurant

Found this restaurant by chance after one we were looking for was shut. Glad we found it though great and service quick. Price was reasonable as well.

Such a fantastic restaurant! We were in Barcelona for a week and this was by far the best tapas we had (and we had tapas four times!). Lovely staff, great service, good prices, excellent quality food and drink. Highly recommend it!

While wandering round the Gothic area of Barcelona, we stumbled across this restaurant. Without the benefit of any trip advisor research, we took a chance based on how lovely it looked from the outside. The tapas was delicious, with generous proportions and great service was brilliant. The waitress was extremely helpful in recommending dishes and very friendly. Highly recommended.

My friend told me about this place and we decided to check it out and I have to say I was very impressed. We over did it with the starters but I couldn't get enough of their scrumptious steak. Service was top notch. Definitely going back

This place was close to the hotel and since it was going on 10:30 I didn't want to wander too far. I was pleasantly surprised. There was not a table ready when I arrived but I sat at the bar sipping the house red until one was ready. I went with 3 tapas for myself. I really wanted to try... More

We wandered through the Gothic quarter for a while and stumbled on this place. It looks interesting inside with loads of postcards and pictures and flyers of movies and stars from the 50s. I loved the food, they have a small menu which they do to a high standard. Ended up going twice while I was in Barcelona which I... More

We were looking for a place to eat tapas and our hotel directed us to a well known tapas place a couple of blocks from the hotel which ended up not having any available space til 10:30 pm - too late for us Americans in Barcelona. So we looked around the neighborhood and snatched the last table at this small... More

Stumbled upon this place while walking the back streets of the Gothic Quarter. The food is ok. The service is ok. The atmosphere is good. The variety of languages being spoken provided for a good game of 'guess where they are from'. The 3 ladies serving were very rushed. They missed the beef off the bill. Being honest I mentioned... Not for your budget traveller but well worth the trip. The tapas are delicious and the staff are friendly and warm, El Callejon is highly recommended.

My wife and I stumbled across this gem of a restaurant by accident on the last night of our visit to Barcelona. The quality of the food and service was excellent with the fillet steak tapas being to die for. All the other tapas items were of great quality and taste and the red wine was delicious. Worth noting the... More
