Stumbled upon tapas bar!

Arrived in Barcelona, a brief stroll from our hotel, we stumbled upon this bar. It was delightful, prices not exorbitant and the food and service very good. It really did make our first night in the City a really great memory. We particularly enjoyed the grilled chorizio and King Prawns.

Would highly recommend, down a nice little side street is this hidden gem. Great food service was great as well. Good selection of food for all. The value for what we had was great as well.

My wife and I ate here after a long day on our feet. We chose the place based on the look and feel from the street plus the trip advisor reviews. It was good. The steak tapa was cold had to be sent back to be reheated. The food was tasty but not the best we have tasted in Barcelona.... More

We found the place on a totally sporadic walk in the Gothic area, we didn't even notice the TripAdvisor sign on the door. The atmosphere was charming, the waitress was very nice and welcoming, and the food... We had 2 tapas that were just the preview for 2 assume dishes: spaghetti with eggplant tomato's and basil, and avocado tartar with... More

Went there based on tripadviser rewiews and it did not live up the what i expected. It is not bad BUT there are so many other fantastic restaurant to visit and its not worthy a visit agsin. The meat we got was well cooked but the sides boring and tasteless. The service was ok but nothing speciel. Go somewhere else!!!

We found El Callejon quite by accident our first night in Barcelona and fell for it, so much so that we returned three nights later. The setting is charming, the wait staff terrific and their salads were excellent. We had been on a tour the previous two weeks and had eaten many delicious but heavy meals, so we were ready... More

we stumbled on this place after forgoing a lot of tourist traps. We had to wait for a table but had a drink at the bar. Mojito was fantastic. We had tapas, which were fresh and tasty. Particularly the beef, just superb. Service was great and we had a fun night. Good value.

This is a cosy little restaurant hidden in the lanes which we stumbled upon while exploring. We sampled lots of the tapas dishes and were really impressed with the quality - and the price. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a highlight and the desserts were delicious too. It's quite a small restaurant but had a nice atmosphere and seemed... More
