There is usually a queue, it's so good.

The best bakery in Barcelona. The locals and tourists use this place for their daily bread. The croissants, pizza and sticks are all very good.

Best bread in Barcelona!! 100% recommend this bakery to buy your bread! The baguette, baluard bread, the croissants just everything is delicious!! They have 2 bakeries. One in Barceloneta and the other in Calle Provenza- Pau Claris

So delicious, find any excuse or occasion to stop byand pick up whatever you wish. I can strongly recommend the "pizza" , a flatbread with wonderful Spanish ham and tomato. It is flavoured with oregano and the cheese is lovely. Great location right beside the market of the Barceloneta, so there are lots of other possibilities in the neighbourhood! So... More

I live nearby and Baluard is one of my favourite places in Barcelona. The locals love it too and you'll see Catalans carrying Baluard bags all over the city. All the bread is delicious and reasonable (El Corte Ingles sells Baluard bread in it's gourmet food department at more than double the price), but Baluard also sells pizza slices, sandwiches,... We have now been in Barcelona three days, and on two days we have stopped by Baluard Bakery to pick up breads and pastries and everything we have tried is outstanding! Thankfully, they are open on Sundays until 2:00 PM for all us bread-addicted folks. I do not believe they know how to make a bad bread, but especially tasty... More

After living for so many years in my veloved city I still get surprised with all those little things that make our life a worthing journey. Baluard is a place that satisfies your instints through your stomach and makes you travel without moving your feet.

The chocolate Croissant from Baluard was one of the best 5 items of food I've ever eaten. It transported me to nirvana. I wish I'd had time to sample additional delicacies, but I didn't. It's excellent reputation couldn't be more well deserved.

This bakery is a small shop that is heaving with both staff and locals. There are loads of different breads and pastries and cakes on sale and the locals queue out of the door to get them. They are a real bakery and not a bakery cafe, so they don't sell coffee or drinks and they don't have anywhere to... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
