Thought we'd stop off here on our way to Sagrada Familia on our first day and ended up coming every day. Great deals on all the pastries and such good quality.

3 pastries for 1 euro! What a bargain in Barcelona. So delicious. Only here a day and a half but we will go back!

Deliciousness and hospitality abound. My mother and I had cafe con leche (perfect) and pan dulces at Blats everyday of our stay in Barcelona. The employees are welcoming, charming and amazing.

We ordered two coffees with milk and a chocolate croissant (large). All delicious. The women behind the counter were friendly and looked like they were having fun! Total: 4 euro / $5.27.

We dined here at least twice a day for 4 weeks and 2 weeks both in 1999 and 2002. We loved this place. Couldn't quite remember the location, but thanks to Trip Advisor we rediscovered our favorite bakery in Barcelona. The Ladies are top notch and their Bocadillos are not to be beat

I was born to an Italian baking family so am always looking for good bread. I tried at least 6 in this area and it seems there is a bakery on every street nearby. Blats was the first one we went to and frankly it is the cheapest, but the quality of the breads and the variety was outstanding. the... More

We recently took a trip to Barcelona and stayed at the Easy Sleep apartments down the street from this bakery. The pastries and sandwiches are delicious and the price is even better. We had a lunch of 2 sandwiches, and 2 cokes for just over 5 euros! The staff is super friendly as well. We spoke a small amount of... More

We stayed about a block from here and made a daily visit . The ladies that work there are very nice and they have fresh pastries and sandwiches. It also feels more "family" owned than a lot of the other places, which makes it a little more comfortable to visit. The best part from being delicious is that it was... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
