The chef perfectly mastered the technique of these dishes. For the main menu, it consists of nine dishes / appetizer. the products are fresh, perfect cooking and details of assonement and breathtaking presention. We became complement fund of of this place and will return to Barcelona just for this restaurant. This chef deserves a Michelin star !!

We had a 9:45 pm booking which is late for Norwegians but it was definitely worth the effort. Having this level of food served at this level price is close to a dream. Despite his limited English vocabulary the owner explained personally each dish of the set menu with a smile and warmth. Food is fine dining, and his play... More

A really fantastic evening, beautiful food. We have eaten quite a few taster menus, at various high class restaurants and the food at Somodo is really up there. You can tell the chef is dedicated to what he does, with meticulous attention to detail in both presentation and taste. Hope to visit again.

Firstly book, secondly arrive on time (the Japanese influence) and thirdly marvel at the tastes. An excellent tasting menu which is helpfully presented and written in English ( other languages are available!) Set menu now at €35 but well worth and you will not find better value in Barcelona. Be prepared to be surprised and pleasantly sated by the end... More

You need reservation for your lunch or dinner as it is very small. The ingredients are Spanish and Japanese. You have a few dishes that you think they could be anything European but the moment you taste it the Japanese fragrance hit you.

It amazes me every time I have a chance to visit Ochi and his crew for a meal. It is a must eat. Let Ochi recommend even the wine. You will never regret it.

My favourite restaurant has just got better. We usually eat here every one or two months when we visit Barcelona but for various reasons we hadn't been for about five months. There is a set gastronomic menu which has changed slightly in that there are now two a 25 and 35 pp euro menus. We opted for the more expensive,... More

Turned up with a booking at 9pm . The degustation was outstanding . The service was a little fractured at times due to the language difficulty however the owner/head chef? stepped in after each service of a course and explained the dish it really was a special evening and from first course to last really tasty and a enjoyable night... Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
