Cosy, homely restaurant which serves caringly prepared food. The portions were not enormous but suited us perfectly. The wine was good and very reasonable. The service was quick - we arrived fairly close to opening time (7.30) but the place was full by the time we left. The waiters were all mature and courteous. They didn't speak much English but... Took ages to work out what to eat - loads of items in the menu were 'finito' and not available. Food was OK when it arrived but nothing special. Almost like the staff are just going through the motions rather than caring for their customers. Don't bother!

Should have listened to reviews of never to eat on La Rambla, but I was hungry and it was the first place we ended up in when visiting Barcelona. We decided to go into L'Oliva since there was a number of people eating there. We went there on the 6th March 2014.The thing that brought us in was the deal... More

Tucked away in a quiet side street off La Rambla- staff were friendly, food was delicious and the wine was good too. Less of a tourist trap -we felt welcomed into the restaurant and appreciated that we were left to take our time over our meal rather than being rushed so the table could be turned around. Would definitely recommend... More

We stopped here to have lunch and shared a veg paella and it was easily the best we have had in a long time. Sitting outside watching the world go by whilst sitting in the sun, perfect. The staff were great and the atmosphere superb highly recommend.

OK - the interior is nice and the staff were pretty friendly - that's all good. The price of the "menu" was good and there were numerous courses to choose from, so we went for it. But: - many options where not available (no big problem given the number of alternatives). - we ordered a small bottle of cava to... More

How I wished I had reviewed this restaurant before we came across it on a rather hot sunny Sunday in December. It was busy and the advertised menu of 2 tapas and Paella/pasta for 8 euros looked inviting so we sat, ordered and ate a fairly decent meal with 2 beers and then were shocked when we received the bill... Very expensive(9€ for a pint of beer), overcharged for rubbish quality of food and very arrogant and amateur service. Never go there!!

This restaurant is well worth while. There may be a little wait but its worth it. We found this by accident when the restaurant next door said that they had a hour's wait. We were hungry, tried this place, and liked it well enough we went back a number of times and never got around to the restauraunt next door!
