Great option for a meal around Born part of town.

We ate here on a Sunday night as a group of 3 and we all enjoyed the place. The restaurant is very nicely designed inside and they've put a lot of effort into making the place look the part. Also, it is in a good location near paseo de Born. Food was brought out to us promptly and all the... read more

Ikibana is fusion between japanese sushi style and brazilian meat and special flavors. They have sushi as a piece of art, super fresh and delicious food. Great atmosphere including music and cocktails, good service too. Prices are not cheap, however it is absolutely value for money and also the wines are good and for a fair price. Recommended to make... More

We were suggested by hotel concierge (which I take with grain of salt). This was a huge hit!! great food and vibe, mostly locals eating here and always busy (we went twice in one week). Traveling with my daughters (age 8 and 12) who like to eat well from NYC. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly waitstaff. Food... More

This restaurant was next to the apartment we rented in Barcelona and it looked interesting so we decided to try it. The menu is a bit confusing for the first time and they only have a minimum service so we didn’t get a lot of help trying to figure it out. It is kind of like tapas, small dishes, so... More

The maki was incredible and Brazilian beef courses was also very good. The restaurant has a cool vibe with serving both inside and outside. The only thing that bothered us was the noise from the traffic but we visited the place rather early (7pm).

World class sushi with fresh ingridients, top notch service and perfect atmosphere. You can also follow the kitchen on bigscreen. Highly recommended.

After not being able to get into Tickets we discovered this lovely restaurant with Japanese and Brazilian fusion dishes. Particularly enjoyed the beef. Second time equally as good. Imaginative menu with a wide selection of cocktails also.

We were recommended this restaurant from a member of staff at Boca Grande so we made a booking. We were torn between the 2 locations but went with this one. We have been a number of sushi restaurants all round the world including Nobu in NYC, this was excellent food. We had some cocktails which I would say we're little... More

We just popped into iKibana for a quick lunch while we waited to check into our hotel. Just perusing the menu was a warning that we would spend more time there than planned. We opted for the second of the sampling menus with a glass of Verve Cliquot and a few sushi as an appetizer. Unfortunately it was a couple... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
