Good food and drinks

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night and were very glad to have made a reservation in advance. The cava and white wine were both very good as was the paella. The dessert selection was outstanding and did not disappoint. The other dishes were average to good but some of the portions were... read more

It was relatively difficult to get a last minute booking here so make sure you book in advance, but the restaurant design and theme are genuinely impressive. Opulence mixed with authenticity... the service was fast and efficient, and the food was exquisite - especially the desserts.. Finding a chocolate mousse dessert that was caramelised in places to give it the... More

We were recommended Boca Chica by our hotel (located around the corner). We walked to the restaurant without a reservation and were told we'd have to eat within an hour as they needed our table. This was acceptable, but the menu was rather confusing and very little assistance from the abrupt waitress. We chose the simple option of a shared... More

Nice place with good food and trendy atmosphere. We had business lunch there and everything was good from starters to coffee. For sure not cheap if compared to other places of Barcelona, but I would say price was reasonable for what we had and location of the place.

I would very highly recommend this restaurant to the 20-40 year old crowd. Its decor is very posh but seems authentic. Their tuna tartare, ceviche, and potro and meat sandwich tapas are incredible. They even added pops of caviar to the tuna. This was by far our favorite restaurant of the trip and had a great bar/lounge scene.

We had just arrived to Barcelona and met some friends at the bar on the top floor. It was like going to Ali Baba cave! Beautiful decor, lovely staff and amazing wine and tapas. Top quality.

The food is amazing and reservations are definitely recommended. The seafood is very fresh and you select your meat or seafood before it is cooked. The price is based on the weight. The bathrooms are a bit different but fun. In the men's room the lighting is with red bulbs. There is a huge flower pot with spigots coming out... More

Visited Boca Grande with a group of friends. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant was captivating right from the start. We had a lovely meal and at the end the manager asked us if we wanted to make a reservation at the private bar and we of course said yes, thinking we were going to sit at the bar... More

We had to dine "early" for Spanish style dining so we opted for the limited menu in the Tapa's area of the lively spot..down an alley but easy walk from area hotels. We had tapas...the Ham coquettes were really delicious, shrimp, of course the local ham...we had a table full of food then ordered a few more...by the time we... More

The restaurant is a piece of art, you only have to go the toilets to acknowledge that... Apart from that, I loved the food, but service was a bit slow, obviously the place was packed! I would definitely recommend it to a guy that wants to impress his girl!!

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
