Really good atmosphere

A really good find off the Paaiege de Gracia . Great atmosphere with a busy buzz. Fresh fish and tapas. Clams and the hake particularly good. The upstairs cocktail bar Bocachica is a great space with a separate entrance next door .the various gin cocktails are a must. The toilets really a... read more

As soon as we sat down, a waiter loomed intimidatingly over the table showing us the 'fish of the day' which we went with, as we felt like we almost had to. When we were given our assortment of razor clams and mussels ect, we were utterly disappointed. It felt like trying to swollow a mouthful of seawater. Then came... More

We had a super evening here. Beautiful setting. Good service except my friend's steak arrived after everyone else has finished eating. Exciting gin and tonic with dry ice. We would go back if we return to Barcelona. My scallops were delicious

We love the ambience, we only ordered 6pcs oysers, white wine, calcots, 2 big prawns, 1 big fish, it costs us euros 250 i dknt know if the price is good, but the service i could say is ok. maybe because they knlw that we are tourists. I've been here a few times as I live in Barcelona and generally it's not a bad place - not the best, but the ambience is good and the food is not bad. However, after my last experience I won't be going back. I went for a friend's birthday and because we were speaking English I think the waiter took... More

I was introduced to Boca Grande by some colleagues earlier this week. We had a great night with a lovely communal table, tapas and plenty of really great Sangria. Wonderful evening. I booked a couple of nights later and had a slightly disappointing table, questionable service and the maitre d' tried to flog me a scorpion fish for €250. The... More

The decoration is very impressive, a bit of a mixture of different styles, but pleasant and somehow warm. The only defect is a striking unisex toilets, very dark, full of mirrors and candles, where is difficult to find a central sink, like a fountain, with extremely cold water to wash your hands, it just doesn't match the rest of the... This restaurant is yet another in a queue of restaurants that have a reputation and forget that a reputation and service are things to be constantly maintained and are not indefinite. The interior is beautifully decorated by Lázaro Rosa-Violàn who is a master of light and almost French colonial interiors which are glamorous and comfortable at the same time. And... More

Came back to this restaurant with my family after visiting with some friends a few months earlier. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and was buzzing with life on our night. We were presented with some of the catch of the day and chose our fish. And it was absolutely great. Friendly staff, interesting bathroom/disco and intimate dining area makes... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
