Decor and atmosphere OK. Food OK but lacked flavour ( fillet steak with foie gras + duck with sliced oranges) and, I was going to say that there wasn't a vegetable in sight but that wouldn't be fair as I did get one cherry tomato. We would have liked a dessert, coffee and perhaps liqueur but... read more

Staying at the Claris Hotel for several days, on business. After running around for dinner in cabs and wanting it to be easier, a walk across the street we discover a local restaurant. The 3 nights in a row we had just wonderful meals and great wine. A nice find at a reasonable cost.

Stopped for lunch with a set menu. Started with tomato stuffed with fresh cheese and anchovy with a crisp crouton and a fish paste. Good range of textures, well presented but would have benefited from seasoning. Went on to a piece of white fish (hake?) on a bed of haricot blanc with a white roux sauce. Again good presentation and... More

What an amazing find, each night there is live music at 10 pm, Jazzy blues. Food is just fantastic every meal we ate was just simply divine. Service and attentiveness to detail. Just go.

We were out walking at night and found ourselves a bit lost. We came upon Josephine's and went in for a couple of tapas. The place is lovely and inviting, and the staff was so helpful! We got out our map and they pinpointed where we were, where we needed to go. We found the tapas to be good and... More

Came across this restaurant and from the outside it looked lovely and inviting. We asked for a table for 2. We were then seated right next to the door even though half the restaurant was empty...meaning we got a cold breeze every time someone walked passed the automatic doors.Waiting staff were rude and it felt like they did not want... The bistro is nicely decorated, cozy and charming. The food was very good but expensive, and the staff serving us was average and pretty slow though (they seemed overwhelmed, even if we got there early and it was not even half-full). Would recommend it if you're around the area and can book online to receive a discount, but wouldn't pay... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
