Can just speak for the Paella.....

....and it was very nice! This is not a fancy restaurant, it's another restaurant on the street, so take it for what it is..... However, the recommendation from the waiter to take the house Paella (seafood and shellfish) was very good! We really enjoyed it, and the service was surprisingly good!

Absolutely fantastic place. Cheap food and drinks. Service top-of-the-line. We had the best burger we've ever tasted, the Australian burger. Must-try if you're in Barcelona.

Normally i do a backround check, but this time I didn't. Service no good as they hardly did any follow up. All five of us choose pizza (hawaiana, iberica) and we got something reminding us of frisbees. The pizza-crust... Not sure where they found it... We told the staff and they did not care. We paid and kept the five... More

Stopped here after two other Trip Advisor rated restaurants didn't pan out (one closed, one with different menu than stated in reviews). Told waiter that for starters we wanted a salad that was just vegetables, and he brought us one that included tuna and hard-boiled eggs. For an entree we asked to share a pan of paella - it was... ...bad food and bad service. Was our last night in town and the worst meal of the trip. I can see them catering more for the drunk, wasted, football crowd who don't care what they are eating or how badly they are served.

We were in this restaurant on our last evening in Barcelona. Unfortunately we found La Cala and had the worst food and service EVER. It was really bad service, expensive and impossible to eat. I order paella but it was so salty that I can't eat it even when drinking water. But even worse was the staff and service. When... More

My husband and I love this place! We kept going back for more! The tapas is lovely here and the portion sizes are huge! We also had the carbonara and pizza of the menu which was also lovely! The drink was also excellent and the staff were very nice and welcoming! Our favourite spot in Barcelona for sure! Can't wait... More

My boyfriend and I found this place near or hotel. We stopped because I am a vegetarian and they had something on the menu I could eat. I tried the veggie burger and it ended up being the best veggie burger I have ever eaten. It was a good size portion for the price. My boyfriend had the chicken burger... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
