Ended up here as one of the few places that had soup, other than fish soup. The outside terrace was a plus. The soup itself was OK, but the chicken/pasta within not so much. The tapas of patatas bravas, chorizo and cod bites were all mediocre at best. Staff was friendly but not very responsive. Prices are quite low.

We ate here because my wife fancied a veggie burger and it was close to our apartment. We had seen the bad reviews but thought we would give it a go. We ate in "la Cala Frankfurt" which seems to be part of La Cala but specialising in burgers, hot dogs etc. It wasn't busy but the service was prompt... More

Nice location, but the food was horrible. I orded the soup of the day (chicken soup) , it was basically boiled water and salt, with to big potatoes and a half carrot, the chicken was tasteless and felt like rubber. I didn't bother finishing it. My boyfriend ordered pasta carbonara, he took three bites and refused to eat more. The... More

If you like your 'beef' glowing bright orange, with the consistency of a large block on luncheon meat and tasting like cat-food, this place is perfect. My girlfriend and I both took one bite of our burgers and as soon as we saw what we'd bitten into removed the 'matter' from our mouths. Utterly revolting - we both pushed our... More

It's located on the sea side of the La Ramblas street. Has a great location as it's very close to harbour and "The Vell". We have seated out side -quite relaxing- with our great margaritas. We have not have great expectations but this place is nice. And the bathrooms are clean as well.

Ordered paella, it was never going to be the best, they we're clearly understaffed by they did make up for it by being very friendly. Had to wait ages to order, then again for the food to arrive, then I went searching for the waiter to get our bill!

We stopped here as we were in a bit of a hurry, but I wish we'd taken a bit more time in choosing where to eat. We had the patatas bravas for starters which took the best part of an hour to turn up. These turned out to be nothing more than chips with some sauce that had obviously been... More

Great little place outside of the busy La Ramblas area on Reina Cristina. Outside seating overlooking the Porto, aquarium, and old district of Barcelona. Food is good, wait staff pleasant and very spanish. The local beer is great Estrella Dam. I really recommend this place if you want to rest your legs after doing La Ramblas and the old district.

We did order tortilla (omlette with cocked ham) and we did get sandwich...looking like ciabata for almost 4€ per each. For 4€ I can make 3 sandwiches like that one by myself. Other thing. Check was for 16€. We left 20€ and we had to ask waiter for rest of money. Be aware if you leave 50... The day before... More

We were looking for a restaurant with some outdoor seating so that we could enjoy some tapas and sangria in the sun. We fell upon La Cala out-looking the port and found the they did a set menu for 5 cold tapas, 5 hot tapas and a 1 litre jug of Sangria for €38. Not bad for barcelona prices! All... More
