what a great new place in Barcelona! Top traditional Catalan food (with small twists) and service! Imagine somebody in the restaurant business in New York/East village (marketing, social media, quality, staff...) trying to bring the talent and expertise to Barcelona...then there you have La Cuina d'en Garriga! highly recommended (make sure you call for reservation!)

We made a reservation for 10 pm on a Saturdaay night, and it wasn't super crowded but there was definitely many people. The waitstaff was very kind and caring, and our waiter was particularly nice and had much knowledge of the menu and what to order. My son, age 16, LOVED the waiter and thought he was very kind and... I came here for an informal team lunch after I had had a working session with them earlier. This is a small restaurant although they have not tried to cram in too many tables. The restaurant also sells lots of condiments (olive oils, vinegars, etc..many of them of artisan origins and many of them of apparent high quality) which already... More

Not a touristic place at all, you can easily miss it if you do not know it. We were lucky to get a table just before 2 pm, it filled up quickly thereafter. Both us and the children liked the meals - salads, meat assorty, sandwiches, macaroni and desserts.

We discovered this place 5 years ago when it was more a deli than a restaurant and the owners were still managing it. Now it is a full restaurant but the focus on quality ingredients is the same. They have the best Burata outside of Italy, highly recommended.

This little place was recommended to us by staff at a local clothing store (Bel). Apparently they frequent Garriga, as it is known. We were not disappointed. It is owned and run by a Parisian/Catalonian couple. Reservations are recommended but we dropped by as walk ins and were seated at a group table for four. We had a wonderful meal,... More

You will need to spend a bit of money here to satisfy any hunger. Their menu items seem like they're reasonably priced, but when you're served you will be utterly underwhelmed by the amount of food you're getting. The quality of the food is quite good though. So if you're not restricted by budget you can have a good meal... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
