Unfortunately like most of the places in Barcelona, also at Federal the service sucks. We get inside and a guy told us that we have to wait outside and shut the door because of the cold. No more explanation. Not a very nice things to do to a customer. After 10 minutes a girl comes out and says that we... More

I came here for second time, this time brunch/lunch time... the weather was sunny so we opted for a table in the terrace... the people is very nice and the service doesnt take much time. We have ordered eggs for each of us, a croissant, a natural yogurt and two natural juices. One of the egg dishes was oven baked... More

thought we'd try out this place - seems reviewers either love it or hate it. we are now officially of the latter camp. unless you are a hipster of a certain look and attitude, you won't given be given the time of day...correction - you'll rudely be shuffled to the side as folks with their noses in the air are... As good Australians, we had a great coffee experience in these shop. The coffee is the closest thing to a real FLAT WHITE ( in Aussie standards) you´re going to find in BCN. great atmosphere and a real Brunch joint: The place was founded by Australians and now managed by someone who has done a great job keeping the high... I came here with two of my girlfriends. The service was a bit confusing we weren't served for a while so I asked if it was bar ordered or they come to the table. Anyway they were lovely, regardless, and helped us with the Spanish! The food was GREAT. I had the pumpkin and cous cous burger with extra brie... More

Nice place with tasty & organic food. Amazing juices homemade! It's perfect for having breakfast or brunch on the weekends, but maybe you have to wait... In spite of It's a 3 floors restaurant, now in on fashion, so sometimes you have to wait for your turn If you haven't booked previously. The desserts are quite good (I love Scones... More

I've been there 3 times during my 1 week stay in Barcelona, they have really nice breakfast there but the service is so bad. The waiter with glasses and beard seams to be always unhappy and not very friendly. The last time he shouted at me that I have to wait outside because there are some more people waiting for... More

Federal cafe is totally something i wasn't expect to find in Barcelona. Such a great atmosphere. Small tables by the windows, big tables inside where you can share them with other guests, that creats such a social atmosphere. I really like the choices in the menu, the staff, the people are going there. They have three floors, and an great... More

Went here twice during our stay in Barcelona for breakfast/brunch and was happy with the experience both times. Great food that is locally and/or organically sourced and fresh/homemade tasting which that isn't easy to find in Barcelona. If you're looking for a great breakfast, give Federal a try. If going by subway, the Poble Sec station is about a block... More
