I had the baked eggs Florentine. The food was fresh and would have been better if I could communicate how I like my eggs cooked. Skip the hot chocolate. I expected the rich Spanish hot chocolate. Instead, I got the American style bland hot chocolate - Like brown water really. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

We went here for brunch and found it to be great. The place was packed and has three floors so can fit plenty of people in. We sat on the Terrance on the third floor. I had a yummy croissant with brie and ham which was ideal. I wouldn't recommend the steak sandwich though as it was dry. A pot... More

We loved Federal's cafe brunch! Fresh orange juice, super nice seating area at the roof and delicious eggs! Highly recommended

I wanted to have brunch here but at the end I had lunch because I arrived too late, they don't serve it after 1pm on a weekday. The food is nice, but nothing different from other trendy bars in the city and the staff is not that friendly, I never saw them smile and that could contribute to a more... More

It is a place that I go really often. Very comfortable, with fresh food. It is located in the trendiest locations in Barcelona. The only problem here it is the service. Super slow and it seems that the waiters are hidden themselves. On the other side, they have reasonable prices and a great value.

I'm Australian and fanatical about coffee. This place has done the best coffee I've had during my week on Barcelona. Also had a small bite to eat and it was well presented and tasty.

From the good old times when it started and the original owners ran the place, it has lost a lot along the way. It still tries to portray a layback atmosphere australian/west coast style, and struggles to achieve it. anyhow it is crowded with tourists di¡uring summer given it is the "trendy" place to be for brunch or lunch. Food... More

The Federal Cafe is a cafe near Poble Sec serving great coffee and breakfasts both healthy and not so healthy. Sadly the customer experience is lacking and it could mean people will not come back despite the quality of food and drink. If you can put up with the tattooed woman with the poor attitude I'd recommend this place. If... More

The food here is great, the menu innovative but unfortunately the service is really really bad. Federal has such potential but the service lets it down.

It's such a good option for lunch, tasty burgers and healthy smoothies for a reasonable price. If you have the chance, go to the terrace upstairs :)
