Hi. I was a little bit afraid at the beginning cause the restaurant is small and there was not so many tables, but I was wrong. We were 4 and we took the fish of the day + some entrances (fish as well). We ate a turbot fish and ordered some extra potatoes; the quality of our meal was really... More

We had an amazing meal here with friends from the US. The food and wine recommendations were fantastic - you do not need to read the menu - just ask what you should be eating! Very reasonably priced. We have recommended to others and are looking forward to going back in the future

Really pleased we found this little restaurant. The food was exceptioally good and well presented. Modern and well designed . A regular menu plus daily specials - although some sold out. We had four dishes including a huge plate of langostines plus wine and coffee. The bill just under 50euros. Good value for the quality. Would recommend to anyone wanting... More

That's the only three thing I advise you. Don't ask for something special as Xavi knows best what he has to offer. Excellent value for money. You'd pay for a wine tasting more than for a dinner here with 7 (!) courses accompanied by 7 (!) different wines; all for not even 35€/pax. Go for it !

You would never think the place could deliver such quality. Just trust Xavi (the cook and owner) on what is good for the day and which wine should go with it and he will do the magic. The food is great and the choice of champagne really good too. If you are only for fancy places this is not your... More

Stumbled upon this place on our return from the beach in Barceloneta. While the service started off awkward and slow (they seated us in the far corner, claiming that a perfectly good table was reserved for a party that never came), it got steadily better as the night wore on and the food got better too! The fried artichoke hearts... More

I ate here by myself on a cold, wet, windy night in Barceloneta and greatly enjoyed the warmth of the husband and wife owners with a delicious meal that went on and on... The restaurant is small with only 4 or 5 tables and sparse surroundings. But I was here for the food and personal atmosphere, not for the decor.... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
