We were very hungry

Didn't expect much, didn't get much. Small portions, expensive and most importantly not very good food. But we weren't hungry after 2 courses.

Do not order anything to eat here. Small portions, and bland tasteless food. The only redeeming thing about this place is that the service is friendly. That doesn't mean that it is efficient. Had to ask for s a beer 4 times. There are better places nearby. I'm guessing the only people who end up here are because they are... More

Four of us (two couples) stopped here between our visits to the nearby Picasso Museum and the Arc de Triomf. Wandering through the barrio's narrow passage ways and alleys, we stumbled upon the open air court where this little cafe sits. It is modest and there are several others like it elsewhere in this small court. This cafe has a... More

We don't recommend this place Bad food, tastes like it's pre-made and from a can. Service ok, but the staff can't speak any english

Went for lunch and was very disappointed. Service was absolutely awful, no attention what so ever. When the food finally came it was tasteless and the not enough. Don't come here if you can avoid it.

The service was non-existent. Two waitresses to eight tables and we had to call, loudly, and wave our hands to get service. The only reason we even ate the food was the fact that we were starving. Got a tired salad to start and the spinach burrito was soggy. I believe most of the food came from a bag and/or... More

Nos hemos gastado un paston para comer poco y mal. Hemos salido con hambre. Camararas lentas y bordes. We wasted lots of money and had bad food in small quantities. We went out still hungry. The waitresses were slow and rude.

A Barcelona resident took us out fior a few cervezas - simple but lovely food - lots of fun and entertainment in the piazza - great for chilling out with the locals.

We were hungry around the old city in Barcelona....well, we found this place and figured it would pass a lunch meal. I think we missed...by far. Poor quality food, not too nice and EXPENSIVE. Not a choice ever again.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
