Excellent food, nice atmosphere. You seat on a tatami. Good value. Between monday and thursday, they do a bargain on the menu. Don't miss it.

I really like this place. The food is great and the spicy tuna maki is especially delicious. The service is fast and friendly. A good choice if you fancy eating Japanese food in Poble Sec.

The Tatami Room is a place I would recommend so as to have the experience to eat in a tatami, not more. Food was good, but not exceptional compared to other japanase restaurants. Service was good.

We dined here for New Year"s Eve and found their menu to be a delicious feast of soba, sushi, gingered vegetables and excellent beef folllowed by a flavorful green tea tiramisu. The back room has a great ambience and the staff was always attentive and kind. The owner/manager was gracious and added a lot to the overall experience. Try this... More

We enjoyed our dinner here. We really liked the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. The wakame salad was great. The ceviche was also very good. We had a couple different rolls and gyozas and everything was spot on. Good flavors and textures. Recommended and we would definitely return.

Great restaurant if you are tired of common japanese restaurants. They change the menu every season and put very curious food like Japanese Cerviche. The ambient, atmosphere is perfect, and if you go there you must to try the tatami experience, the service is very curated and special.

The ambient is ok, tables and sitting is fun and food was correct, 30 eu per person, 3 of us, with wine and desert. Our 9 years old son really liked it !

This was my first experience of 'proper' sushi and suggested by friends for dinner whilst staying in Barcelona. I have to say i was very impressed with the service and quality of the food. It was delicious and fresh. I would definitely go to the effort to return when next in Barcelona.

We visited the Tatami Room on the walk down from Montjuic to Paral-lel and planned a lunch visit there into our schedule. It is a little off the tourist track, but is an absolute delight. We were amazed to be welcomed by the English owner. We had the 4 course menu of the day and the food was exquisite and... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
