I went there with my family to have a good breakfast after reading this page, but I've been very disappointed. This cafe has been bought by new owners and it looks like any basic cafe. Nothing special, we came at 11:30 and they weren't able to do any breakfast anymore. That's what the girl told us... I've insisted and she... More

We were very lucky to stumble past this gem when hopping off our bus tour. Food was delicious and I can recommend the lunch menu for excellent value. Owner allowed us to try the beer before we purchased and was also very helpful with directing us to our next eatery. Excellent service, would definately go again!

We had the meat lasagna and the potatoes with the spicy sauce.. The lasagna was really good, it was like my grandma cooked it !:) The potatoes were really nice as well, the sauce was delicious.. And the people that worked here were super friendly!!

My BF and I ran into this little Gem around the corner from our Hotel. We really stopped for some directions but after seeing the yummy menu on the wall we decided to stay for a quick snack and Coffee. SO GLAD WE DID! The owner Ben (a portuguese expat) was friendly and witty, he goes out of his way... More

Sometimes a traveler just gets lucky! We were lucky enough to stop at Ben on our way to the Catalunyan National Museum of Art . We were hungry and glad to have our waiter's recommendations. Great food, but it was most engaging that our waiter cared to know if we enjoyed the meals he suggested. We enjoyed our first visit... More

It's the only decent place near Plaça España. In front of the commercial Center Las Arenas, the old bullring. Nice Terrace, good unexpensive food (sandwiches and unexpensive quick dishes), terrific coffee and super terrace.

I stopped there because I noticed the WIFI sign in the window and though it would be nice to have a sandwich and check some things in the Internet because I had just been robbed in the Metro, a Barcelona pass time I hear. Anyway the owner was really friendly and shared his outrage at this problem. It was nearly... More

We have been here several times and we always had a very warm welcome. A very relaxed place to be! We didn't have time to enjoy the meals but we will try them the next time! The Portuguees owner of Ben's Bar speaks fluently English and he was very helpfull with finding a hotel for us. We will come back... More

You have to visit to 'experience' Ben... its a cracking little boutique cafe that cater for everyone; I've been there on numerous occasions and have seen every type of customer there... from big groups of friends. couples, singles, kids and business people alike. Its great for grabbing breakfast on the run, a chilled coffee (which I may add is delicious... More

Visiting Barcelona on a hectic business trip, I was looking for a place where I could just chill for a while. I love Barcelona but haven't found many places I can do this... until I found bén! Good quality coffee, great breakfast and tapas, smooth sounds, excellent internet and very friendly service. I have even returned for their meals, which... More
