Description: Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant...
Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant Bembì - the same concept of Indian food. Besides gathering all the virtues of his predecessor, Rangoli has a number of distinctive features: new and unique dishes, attractive decoration full of carefully chosen decorative pieces from India, a bar area where one can sip on a drink and, to top it all - a terrace with the Mediterranean view. Rangoli is the most ancient traditional decorative folk art of India and a symbol of religious and cultural beliefs. It is considered an important part of our spiritual tradition. Rangoli figures and patterns are colourful decorative designs on courtyards during Hindu festivals and is meant as a sacred welcoming area for the gods and guests. These ancient rituals have been passed on through the ages, from one generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The purpose of rangolis is to bring good luck. We in Rangoli strive to present to you the culinary art of India which is as vibrant, traditional and colourful as a Rangoli and bring to you recipes which have transcended through generations. We welcome you to try the Rangoli experience!

Very good indian food

We visited this restaurant twice, and while I'm not sure how authentic the dishes were (I felt that some of them were propably tuned to fit the spanish palate), everything was fresh and tasted very good. Quite a nice view to the sea from their small outside terrace.

We shared the veggie tasting menu which was great. Perfect quantity and variety of food with starter selection adapted to suit my husband who has coeliacs. A great end to our visit to Barcelona.

This restaurant was close to our hotel and was also recommended by our hotel staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Generally Indian food with such good taste is hard to come by in Europe. We are vegetarians and the food reminded us of home cooked meals. The food was delicious and service time was fast.... More

My wife and I ate at this restaurant this week. As Bangladeshis, we eat rice and curry on a daily basis so for us to recommend this place is a massive compliment ;) I can honestly say that this was one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had... More

Rangoli has the best Indian food I've had in Barcelona to date. It's in Barceloenta right by the water. My only issue with it is it's been randomly closed for 2 weeks! From Christmas to currently (1/6) I tried to go 3-4 times when my family was visiting and it wasn't open. So call before making the trip over, but... More

Really glad I've found this restaurant as it's been difficult to find good quality Asian food in the Barcelona area (although that may just be where I've tried so far!) My chicken curry was excellent, the nan bread very good and I can happily report that when they say the food is spicy it really is! My husband was a... More

Good, attentive service but terribly below average Indian. Stale chicken tikka, over fried onion, etc. Just felt yuk after meal... Take away from Sindur Barcelona was much better (6/10).

If tripadvisor had good, that it what i would give them. The samoosas were disappointing though. my only tip is that if you like spicy food, make your order;hot'. The medium is more like mild. .

We went for lunch arriving at 1.30. By 3.00, the restaurant was almost full, with many of the diners being Spanish. There is inside dining as well as outside. Being December we chose inside. We had poppadoms and pickles, followed by a shared dish of Souvenirs Rangoli (beautifully presented) comprising of 4 items €12.10 to share (chicken tikka, lamb seek... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
