Description: Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant...
Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant Bembì - the same concept of Indian food. Besides gathering all the virtues of his predecessor, Rangoli has a number of distinctive features: new and unique dishes, attractive decoration full of carefully chosen decorative pieces from India, a bar area where one can sip on a drink and, to top it all - a terrace with the Mediterranean view. Rangoli is the most ancient traditional decorative folk art of India and a symbol of religious and cultural beliefs. It is considered an important part of our spiritual tradition. Rangoli figures and patterns are colourful decorative designs on courtyards during Hindu festivals and is meant as a sacred welcoming area for the gods and guests. These ancient rituals have been passed on through the ages, from one generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The purpose of rangolis is to bring good luck. We in Rangoli strive to present to you the culinary art of India which is as vibrant, traditional and colourful as a Rangoli and bring to you recipes which have transcended through generations. We welcome you to try the Rangoli experience!

Great Indian Restaurant

Great Indian right on the beach front. My wife and I enjoyed the vegetarian tasting menu and it was really good. The service was very prompt but the food was wonderful. Take a glass of water to bed with you as the food is a bit salty but well worth a visit.

Indian cuisine is not popular in Spain so finding good Indian is a challenge. This restaurant has an excellent set menu.

Great location between marina and beach. Excellent service with a reasonable selection. The food was well presented and delicious. A touch pricey but such a great break from the plethora of same-same offerings of the majority. I'd gladly return.

Its not the best..its not the worst...it was a nice Indian meal and I would visit again. The staff are very friendly and the location is nice. Only negative comment would be the 20% offered when you book online can only be redeemed if you order 2 courses per person, this is not advertised at all which is a shame.

Food was very nice and spicy as we asked for. But they really try to rip you off, no finger food, meal comes without rice, naans are ridiculous small, sangria is more ice then actual drink... Just bit too much money driven...

Walked round the marina and found this lovely restaurant for lunch. Attractive design, pleasant terrace, proper tablecloths etc! Attentive, pleasant staff, all the dishes we had were great, even tandoori salmon, tasty naans. One of the best meals we had in Barcelona.

We visited the restaurant last night and the service was impeccable. The food could be better as we felt it was very creamy and rich. Ambience of the restaurant facing the beach was outstanding.

Had lunch a Rangoli. Great terrace sitting and wonderful friendly attention giving staff that make you feel welcome. The Dal Makhani, Lamb Biryani, Butter Chicken and Lacha Paratha are mouth watering. We loved Rangoli and can't wait to get back !!! ode

3/5 is maybe a little bit unfair. The food was good and the service was above average. Judt judged on other Indian restaurants we've visited it didn't blow me away. Tasty enough though.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
