Description: Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant...
Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant Bembì - the same concept of Indian food. Besides gathering all the virtues of his predecessor, Rangoli has a number of distinctive features: new and unique dishes, attractive decoration full of carefully chosen decorative pieces from India, a bar area where one can sip on a drink and, to top it all - a terrace with the Mediterranean view. Rangoli is the most ancient traditional decorative folk art of India and a symbol of religious and cultural beliefs. It is considered an important part of our spiritual tradition. Rangoli figures and patterns are colourful decorative designs on courtyards during Hindu festivals and is meant as a sacred welcoming area for the gods and guests. These ancient rituals have been passed on through the ages, from one generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The purpose of rangolis is to bring good luck. We in Rangoli strive to present to you the culinary art of India which is as vibrant, traditional and colourful as a Rangoli and bring to you recipes which have transcended through generations. We welcome you to try the Rangoli experience!

Only had a selection of starters, we were in a party of 10 girls and each dish that was brought to the table was full of flavour. Lovely location and would visit again.

The Indian meal was better than some of the restaurants in India. The spices were perfect, and the service was great. We had a lovely table outside and its location was awesome. The starters, the main course and the dessert - all simply amazing.

Absolutely delicious! From the unbelievably speedy service to the very friendly staff and gorgeous food, we cannot fault this restaurant - from order to table in 5 minutes and everything catered for our fussy order! The food was divine and wanted to go back the following night - almost went back the following morning to ask for takeaway onion bhaji!... More

Great location for an Indian meal straight from the beach. Attentive service and managed to get us a table outside easily without booking. However, we are used to much better Indian food in the UK. The food in this restaurant lacked depth of taste and spicing. It was also overpriced. We were left with a mediocre experience.

We went for lunch after a day on the beach. We had four different courses and all were good. Nice service. A little pricey for lunch, but quality food. Would go again.

Indian cuisine is not popular in Spain so finding good Indian is a challenge. This restaurant has an excellent set menu.

Great Indian right on the beach front. My wife and I enjoyed the vegetarian tasting menu and it was really good. The service was very prompt but the food was wonderful. Take a glass of water to bed with you as the food is a bit salty but well worth a visit.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
