RIP OFF

Food was amongst the worst food i tried in Barcelona honestly. But the biggest rip off was no drinks prices on show at the tables, just order your standard beer in a fancy glass and get charged 9.5euros.standard half litre measure.

Have eaten here 2 days running and the food and service has been excellent. It is also very entertaining watching the banter between the waiters and those from the opposite restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Menu of the day if your not Spanish is in a very simple word appalling - wait for over 10 mins longer than others who arrived well after you and your main dish once it arrives - under cook and stone cold. I really do not like writing poor reviews but again in Spain as a tourist your second class... More

We chose to have lunch at the Rambla on our last day in Barcelona. Looking at the different restaurants, all had similar offers on economic lunch menus. However, besides the main course, this one offered 3 tapas and dessert for a nice price. Being two, we had 6 different tapas. Of course the portions were extra-small (something like 3 shrimps... Located on La Ramblas. Interesting to dine and watch the people walk by. They have specials marked on the board on the sidewalk and then hand you a regular menu that is more extensive and expensive. My advice - go with the specials.

Ok, letäs start with the positive: the waiter that served us was really friendly and welcoming aaaand thatäs the only good thing about this restaurant. I was really graving for a pizza and ordered a pizza bolognese and my husband ordered some beef patties and french fries. I'm 100% sure that the pizza was straight from the freezer, it had... More

The food is simply disgusting. We had Tapas (underfried french fries, tuna salad that we didn't even touch because it looked inedible, one red gooshy meatball, greasiest eggplant we've ever seen ...) and for the main cause we ordered paella that tasted like it came straight from the refrigerated counter, but the worst was the pizza we got, it was... This restaurant is located on Las Ramblas the main street in Barcelona. They offer a decent price set lunch but absolutely hammer you on drinks. Half bottle of basis house wine 12 euros, 9.50 for a beer. Be warned.

Like a lot of people have said we ate here because we had just arrived and were rather hungry. The waiter asked if we would like a drink, and, so we ordered two beers, a glass of wine and a bottle of water. The wine (a small bottle) looked very impressive with it's own carrier of ice, but the water... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
