Welcome to Gilda by Belgious! Dedicated to the fading art of good service and fine, flavorful food at a good price, we seek out the freshest, quality ingredients to ensure your experience is of the highest calibre from beginning (our delectable gourmet tapas) to end (our mouth watering house-made deserts)! Since we are part of Belgious, don't be surprised to discover that some of our dishes come with wasabi, ginger, curry or even cannabis ice-cream ! Our kitchen opens every evening from 18:30 till midnight (even later during weekends), meaning you can even walk in at 23:45 and still enjoy dinner with us. If you would like to try our gastronomy at noon, we do open the restaurant -prior reservation- for private groups as of 15 guests (Ideal for celebrations or company related luncheons).

Michael Made the Experience that Much Better

Michael, you and your staff are amazing. Thank you for a fantastic night. Your passion as a foodie was definitely noticed as the food was extraordinary. I love the fact that in addition to serving tapas, you also have entrees for those like me who prefer a real meal vs tapas. We were a group of... read more

I have recently travelled to Barcelona with my husband. We were only there for 2 nights so decided to check Trip Advisor for a restaurant in the Gothic quarter which is where our hotel was. On advise I pre booked and we arrived at 7pm. Historically, I know that it is the Spanish culture to dine late but we were... More

amazing place, quite small so need to book or expect to wait a while. We had tapas in the bar area and it was all very good! Followed a review saying the best patatas bravas and it was correct! Interesting food with a twist while keeping the authentic Spanish theme. Well worth a meal here. Good price as well! The... More

Turned up without reserving and we were lucky to get a table. Starters of croquet with pine nuts was ok but my main of salmon , cooked perfectly with veggies and a wasabi ice cream was superb. The best meal I had during 5 day break in Barcelona. It was beautifully presented and so tasty. Partner enjoyed her equivalent of... More

We had dinner as part of a group and we felt the food was pretty good but nothing special. The tapas were good with a nice selection, but there was no real pop to the flavors. I had the Belgian Beef Tenderloin - it had a nice flavor, but was much more chewy than it should have been. The wait... More

Hi there, I can see from other reviews you that you rarely give top points, so I still feel blessed with the ones you gave. I ignore which selection of tapas you had, the general feedback is really excellent, but I won't argue since food is a very individual experience. Most of our guests love the beef tenderloin and it... More

Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Ambience a bit lacking but we did enjoy the meal. Not sure I'd go back as so many other places to try in the amazing city.

Dear Guest, Thanks for sharing your experience. The day you visited was by far the quietest night since two months, so even though you enjoyed your meal, I know how people enjoy more their dinner in a busy place since people tend to associate it with more fun. And the proof is there: every time we are very busy, it... More

We recently traveled to Barcelona with another couple and dined at Gilda. The four of us unanimously agreed that it was our favorite meal in Barcelona! It's a tiny place and seating is a little tight, but if you can get past this, the food is amazing!!!

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for such a positive note, it's a real motivation for all the team to maintain quality at all times, and believe me it's a daily challenge when we incorporate new team members or when it gets extremely busy ;-) Best Regards Michel More

My friends and I walked into this restaurant in search of some paella around 10:00pm. Upon chatting with the owner we found out that they don't serve paella after 8:00 because it takes so long to make. However, the owner said he would ask the cook if she would be able to makes some for us specifically and she was... More

Dear Guests, Thank you so much for posting your experience here. And I also hope it's not raising too much expectations of future visitors ;-) Thank you again and please... More

We tried Gilda on a Sunday evening and despite not having booked we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table which was great. The food was lovely (try the tuna ceviche and steak tartare) but we were massively let down by the service which was really inattentive. The food and drinks came out within a reasonable time, but... Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your experience at Gilda with other tripadvisor users. That night we have been overwhelmed a bit and -as Murphy is never far away- one staff member reported ill so we didn't have time to look for a backup. Since we always try to keep the standards at the same level, I sincerely apologize for... More
