Good authentic food

We have been to this restaurant on several visits to Barcelona. The menu del dia is excellent value at around 12 euros for 3 courses including bread and wine! The tapas are amazingly delicious -try the jamon iberico -worth every centimo. Wines are good quality and are of a price range to suit... read more

Only 2 other people in there, so it was not a matter of being too busy. So we both went with hamburgesa, which was barely passable.... More

This tapas bar was very close to our hotel, and we were in the mood for tapas on our first night in Barcelona. The food was tasty and the wine ok. The service was fun but not special. The bright lighting didnt mesh with my expectations of a more gothic or cozy cafe, but the ambience was fine. In short,... More

It's ok, lacks a little something that would make it good or great. It's just a normal place, nothing bad but nothing great either to find here. They are nice people. Don't expect anything great (which they could easily achieve with a little twist on the food). Definitely not in the top 30 of Barcelona restaurants as it stands now... More

Was a bit hesistant to try this place, but the previous tripadvisor reviews were good, and I wanted a tapas meal without having to sit at bar since I have two preschoolers. Good thing about this place is that it doesn't close for a siesta, so those who like to eat before 2030 have a place to dine. My wife... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
