Doesn't look like much from outside, but the tapas are great, it's busy and full of local people...even though it's on the edge of a tourist hot spot!

Ate here on a whim and wasn't disappointed. The sangria pitchers are amazing! Properly complete with sliced fruit and a cinnamon stick. Our server was well versed on the menu and was able to answer all of our questions without hesitation and quite witty! Paella you can order in several varieties. They can be set up to share, or eat... More

Amazing sangria. Try both the red and white version. Loaded with fruit and a cinnamon stick. We ordered a liter of each and split three ways. The seafood paella was delicious and enough for 2 people. Hubby said this was the best club sandwich he has ever had. We ended the meal with one order of churros with dipping chocolate.... More

We had lunch here. Tapas. It was winter when we visit here, a little bit cold to be outdoor table. I don't know whether it was cheap or not. I think restaurants around University are usually cheaper than city center, but this bar may be so...

Wandered into here in my way to Obamas and took a chance. I'm not one for fancy eating having grown up on meat n boiled veg but, the wife got me to eat paella before and I'm on hols so.. why not? Ordered a mix and that constituted squid/octopus, chicken, a prawn, and what I assume were a few mussels.... More

We came to this bar because it was close to our hotel. We ate Paella and Tapas and drank Sangria. The food was delicious and the Sangria great. The price was reasonable and the service good. It was so good that we came again and enjoyed the cava, the beer and the tapas.

First night in Barcelona I went here having been told the place I wanted to go originally was 45 minutes for a table, and I'm glad it was! Had a couple of the local beer to wash down their paella Valenciana and it was very good. Everything cooked well, flavoured and seasoned fully and the chicken came as 4 pieces... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
