Stumbled upon a Gem!

Staying in Born for a couple weeks and happened upon this spot while dodging the crowd around Picasso Museum on Carrer Montcada. We just wanted light tapas to soak up a couple of canas and were early for Catalan lunch. Menu looked interesting so grabbed a bar stool and held on! Started out with... read more

Food was great and really fast service. The restaurant is small so I'd advise booking. We were lucky and managed to get a table just 5 mins after it opened but it was full just after we sat down! The Tapas were great, and we loved the stuffed squid! Friendly staff and reasonable value for money.

Loved the atmosphere. Vibrant an lively. Had to wait outside for 20 mins, even tough we had reservations. But didnt matter, it was worth the wait. Special that day was a fantastic burger with iberi ham, and what i think was truff butter. The iberi ribs with honey, was another fantastic course.

Amazing Beef Tartar and also try their tomatoes! :-p even though you might have to wait for a table it is definitely worth it. And listen to the waiter's recommendation they are very good! :-)

Tucked away in a really cool neighborhood, we found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Food was excellent, and the drinks were very good. All was very reasonably priced. Ambiance and service were mediocre, but I highly recommend it for one of your meals in Barcelona!

Tip : the restaurant is small and so book ahead to ensure you can get a table. Opens 7pm until midnight. Best metro station is Jaume with a 5 min walk. This is no ordinary tapas. Went here whilst on holiday and had a fantastic meal with the family. Standouts are burger with foie gras , truffled eggs with foie... More

This was my first Tapas experience. Unfortunately I've probably been ruined for any future tapas bars I ever visit. The food was unique and the menu was extensive. We tried the tomato with burrata cheese - delicious and very unique cheese. We also had the honey pork ribs and asparagus. Everything we tried was delicious, and high quality. We also... More

Although the restaurant was full when we arrived, we got a table in 10 minutes. However, I suggest if you want a table to get there before 8 or book. This tapas restaurant has a modern / gusto twist to it, and wow they were amazing. The dishes were well thought out and presented. We had some fried white fish... More

Fantastic food, this little gem is located in the Gothic Quarter and is right next to the Picasso Museum. One of the best tapas restaurant we visited during our 5 days on Barcelona, loved the ribs! its small so book in advanced to avoid a long wait. Staff are very friendly.

This place is worth a visit. A rather small place with a huge tasting experience. Had Sardines, Asparagas, Pork and Bread pudding. All fantastic. The best among them was the Sardines. A glas of wine and 2 beers gave me a total of 38 Euro in total to pay. Worth every cent.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
