Be aware , they cheat you and push you big dishes. The food was ok and thats all. we had dinner by the recommendation of the hotel and they offered us huge meal that we mentioned to them that it suppose to be for one person only. They delivered very big meal that suppose to be for few people and... More

Do not go here. We ordered chargrilled vegetables and a roast chicken. The vegetables were straight from tthe fridge, limp, cold and definitely not char grilled! And the chicken was almost RAW! Which was hard at first to decipher as it was covered in some gravy goo. I haver never walked out of a restaurant without paying before, but I... More

The atmosphere is wonderful, the food was good. We wanted to order some chicken and vegetables. You have to look for the vegetables on the menu. My wife did not see any asparagus on the menu, she asked since we had it at several places during our visit. Oh sure was the reply. When the bill came it was 28... More

We tried the Menu Taberna, at €7.05 plus drinks (which brought it back to about the usual €10 per person); it was gutsy and filling and likely a great opportunity for using up yesterday's leftovers. The meal lacked flair, but the service was good and the wine very good. It was a set menu starting with a very good Russian... More

We were recommended here by our hotel. Friendly and efficient service but we were rushed in to the a la carte menu and a "bottle of red" turned out to be one of the most expensive they had. A third starter turned up which we had not asked for and we sent it away. But the food was great and... More

We had lunch, following a recommendation from a friend who frequent this place. The set menu 7EUR its an excellent value for money! We had salad, Black rise Rissotto and meatballs. The black rice delicious. This is a typical spanish restaurant, with friendly staff in a very relaxed atmosphere. I'm glad we listened to our friend!

We followed a shop owner's recommendation, but were disappointed with our lunch here. The patatas bravas were soggy and drenched in a gloppy sauce, and the main courses were very average. Worse, the waiter started us off by bringing us a tray of bread that we didn't ask for (and didn't eat), and we then found a 5 euro charge... More

I was much looking forward to trying this place after a recommendation from a discerning friend. Expectations were high but they took a quick plunge after a series of culinary blunders - inconsistent wines, mine was great but my partner's was badly corked, the worst patatas bravas I had in barcelona (still wondering about the mystery sauce) ordered as a... This is an excellent choice when in Barcelona. Have visited this property on a few occasions and it has never once been a let down. Visually from the street it just looks like a small entrance, but once inside, very rustic and traditional. Staff are always friendly and polite, with a will to assist with your choices of food. Everything... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
