Come across the restaurant wandering around the port Olympic searching for lunch, chose La Fonda due to how busy it was compared to other restaurants, due to this we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated for two. The atmosphere and the service was very good, but the average food and rather high prices let it down.

We chose this restaurant based on the impressive selection of fresh fish on display outside. Three monkfish with heads on interspersed with a salmon and hake with two turbot as a backdrop. The food was very good. We had a great paella. The service was friendly and helpful if a little inconspicuous at times. Good well priced wine list. Would... More

I tasted the Paella in many places in Barcelona. Even the most recognized ones by tourists but in here was the best.

Plan to have dinner in Port of Olympic. Finally, chose this restaurant and would like to share a comment of value for money and great Service! If you don't want to have Tapas every day, this is one of the choices.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch on our last day in Barcelona. The food was excellent to say the least. Good portion size for the cost, very flavorful and great service. The restaurant faces the ocean so you can enjoy a great view with your meal. They had many options for all types vegetarian included. Highly recommend... More

From the very beginning I knew this is going to be an "interesting" restaurant. Located on a nice area on the harbor, La Fonda has a very nice feel to it. I had great hopes but in the end it was a very bad experience. The waiters were rude and the food was all bland. When we complained about the... More

Went there for dinner with workmates. We took some tapas with a main course and desert. Good variety of tapas, good quality but nothing special. The meat was a bit dry...too cooked for a medium steak. Good selection of deserts and they offered us a shot at the end. Service is really good with waiters around all the time to... More

The harbour and marina created for the Olympic Games is full of busy seafood restaurants but, as a solo diner, there was a problem. All the decent looking, popular places had set menus for around 25 euros per person but for two persons only and the a la carte menus were too pricey. All the set menus offered four starters... We came across this restaurant by chance after a day on the beach. We wandered the area looking for a late lunch and liked the busy atmosphere of La Fonda. We were in prime seats in the afternoon sun and decided to have the three course lunch menu. Our children shared one lunch between them. Everything was really fresh and... More

We visited this on our 1st night in Barcelona as was recommended by our taxi driver to eat in Port Olympic harbour - there are lots of restaurants to choose from and this had a 3 course meal including lobster for 26 Euro and tasty desserts all included which was excellent for the money and service was second to none.

Neighborhood Profile
Ciutadella / Vila Olimpica
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs which practically lie on the beach itself.
