We just enjoyed the 12 course "Killa" tasting menu. Every dish was superb--prepared perfectly, presented nicely without being ostentatious. The food drew on primarily Peruvian and Catalunyan influences, with a bit of Asian sensibility thrown in. The dishes were light in composition but entirely satisfying. Every plate made us smile! The service was excellent as well. Enjoy!

There are so many great places to eat in Barcelona that it's hard to scratch the surface over a long weekend. We did some pretty extensive research before visiting and the name Gelonch kept cropping up. The interesting thing every review said was how understated this place was and how popular it is with the locals. I was hooked and... More

We're not foodies. We just love great food We had the eight course sampler. Only one course was average. The rest amazing. The ambience charm has a quaint quiet setting. We highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I just returned from the most incredible meal at gelonch. We had the full tasting menu and each dish from start to finish was absolutely sublime. The chef is so talented with his fusion menu and we were very impressed with his range in all aspects of the meal, including some very tasty desserts. We felt like... More

Arrived and was seated immediately. Very nice presentation of the small tasting menu. Every dish was explained as to what it was and how it was cooked. We were a party of six and everyone was extremely satisfied with all the dishes. The fish taco was amazing as was the pork belly barbecue. Dessert was also amazing. Will return when... More

if you like molecular gastronomy, this is the restaurant to go to. when we visited, it was relatively empty (8pm dinner -- might be a catalan thing), but then it started filling up an hour later. the food though was excellent, and i'm still dreaming about it. they had 2 degustation menus which were obscenely cheap for the quality, and... Total taste treats and innovative south-American inspired cuisine. The tempera fried avocado and the rabbit roll were outstanding. The chef is humble and passionate about cooking. The only disappointment was we were the only diners the evening we went.

We had dinner there last night, 11 June 2015 and had the 10 course tasting menu for Eur 68 each. Every course was exquisitely presented and the cooking was delicate and the combinations just perfect. Service was also great - nice short explanation of each course, attentive without being intrusive.Chef Roberto Gelonch came out to meet us and came across... More

For less than 20€ you can enjoy a selection of Mexican creations by chef Gelonch. Only Thursday, Friday and Saturday at lunch time. We live nearby and we'll definitely go there again for another treat!

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
