Other young diners spoilt it

The food was really good, the wine very nice, our waiter Jose was great and the experience, although rather weird was ok. It could have been much more pleasant if the group of young students sat next to us would have been a little more quiet so we could have actually had a conversation with each... read more

What an amazing experience. As with anything that takes you out of your comfort zone, it was a little uneasy at first. To be guided into total darkness where your eyes never adjust, seated in your chair and coached when/where your next course or drink is being served is just a glimpse into how a visually impaired person experiences life.... Let me start with the positive points: + On top of everything is the experience. If you've never done anything likely, be sure to to it once. As soon as you are in this complete darkness, you get to understand a little bit, how blind persons must live their life. And it is impressive and remarkable how they manage it.... More

This is not a top ten thing to do in Barcelona unless you want to spent vast sums just for the 'experience'. I went to a similar restaurant in Montreal and cannot recall it being this bad...maybe thats as i was with lots of friends and drunk! We booked online in advance. Staff were over friendly and spoke good english.... More

An interesting experience eating in the dark. Not for everyone but if you are looking for something different, this is the place. Nice host speaking english but you will get more out of the visit talking spanish.

I went with friends. Obviously the dining room does not need much atmosphere, since the room is pitch black. My credit is to the staff for managing all of the dining guests and helping us to tables, bathrooms, etc. The food was really good, and the portions were small (something I wish more places had). It is an event, not... More

Well what can I say... I booked to come Barcelona for my husbands 30th Birthday and wanted something different to do for dinner. After lots of research, I stumbled across this place. At first I was very unsure but I'm so glad I went with my heart as it was an incredible experience and most certainly what I was looking... More

Eating without seeing is a special feeling. The dinning room is in absolute darkness, the waiters are blind and you feel like them. You don't know the menu and you must guess what you are eating and drinking. Although this looks easy, it's really difficult. The dinner is really fun and it's an amazing place to go to it. Very... It's an experience you have to do once in your lifetime! Having dinner completely blind makes you not only experience with all your other senses, but also makes you appreciate what you have by living for around 2 hours in the way blind people live every day. Good food, and no restrictions to eat it all with your hands because... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
